Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaUnavoidable mozzies due to the beautiful lush forest around.
The bure - stunning, spacious. Great bathroom layout, plenty of storage space. Loved the lighting. Beautiful walk to the restaurant. Swimming pool. Friendly staff. Very responsive, good communication, good free shuttle service. It’s a boutique hotel so it makes your experience even more special as there are not many guests. Be prepared for lots of mosquitos and some noise from the road near by.

AustraliaThe only reason I gave it 8 was because the quality of the food and variety of food at the restaurant wasn’t great. The lunch menu was the same every day apart from one and the dinners were disappointing and expensive. Without a car, it was not possible to stock up on supplies so if you stay here, purchase drinks and snacks before your stay. It is a 30/40 minute taxi ride to Denarau island from where the boat trips go at a cost of $29 Fiji dollars per person return.
This resort is very small and very quiet which was perfect for my group, my husband, daughter and her bf. The pool area is beautiful and the bures are spacious and very comfortable.

FijiLush gardens with watering makes for a few mosquitoes. Its the tropics, so expect this. Is the case anywhere this verdant. Property does provide repellent, your own supply; a thoughtful touch.
Quiet, small, staff unobtrusive. Room is serviced while youre at breakfast, turn down while youre at dinner. Gardens are amazing. Beautiful, serene.

United KingdomThis little hidden gem is an absolute must on your travels to Fiji. Close enough to Nadi and the airport, it feels like a world apart from the rest of the hotels on offer nearby. I know this, because I missed my ferry to the Yasawas and spent a whole day and night on Denarau island. Do not bother with these if you want to experience the real Fiji. Fiji Orchid is set in beautiful gardens where the singsong of the birds awakes you every morning, flowers and plants surround the Bure in such a way that you think you’re there by yourself. The staff add to this feeling by treating you as if you’re the only visitor and it all just feels enormously pleasant. I chose this place as my oasis to adjust on arrival to Fiji and again to prepare for my onwards travels at the end of my time here and I highly recommend it. Food is gorgeous, the pool is a delight, everything is clean and the bures are very spacious. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate any requests (and I had some unusual ones!) they’re happy to help as best as they can. Vinaka Vakalevu Team Fiji Orchid!

AustraliaWifi in the restaurant area would have been nice. Wifi in the rooms though was excellent.
Very quiet location, small resort with only six cabins discreetly situated in a rainforest setting. Close to Nadi but far away enough from the crowds. We found the food was good, mostly local fare and freshly prepared. Free taxi service to and from the airport. Great pool. Staff excellent

AustraliaWe had to change our return journey. We had the reception at Mana call the Fiji orchid and advised them of our changed times for our driver. This was not communicated to the driver and we received a call to find out if we had missed our boat. Despite being in a remote location, there is some passing vehicle noise as cars head to the beach (often at late hours of the night). There was a major sporting event during our stay and the TV, which is close to the dining room, was very loud. This didn’t enhance the ambience over breakfast.
Meals at Fiji orchid were very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating during our stay. The Bure was nice and private. The bird song was amazing in the morning.

United StatesLoved our stay here! The main common area and restaurant has a beautiful open air colonial feel as it was once a private home and set in a lush garden. The staff are very attentive, the food wonderful and we loved chatting with Kesh, our driver. The accommodation is fun…glamping in a glass house! This is a great place to shake off jet lag before heading out to the outer islands.

United KingdomThere wasn't really anything I didn't like. There was a bit of noise at night due to the beach being nearby and people party on the beach at night time.
The staff here couldn't have done more for me. I arrived really early in the morning and they had made my bungalow ready for me which was absolutely brilliant. I was made to feel welcome. All staff were lovely and polite and always wanted to help. I loved the bungalow I stayed in. The food was lovely too.

AustraliaThe dinner menu could have been alot better, and had a slightly better value with it.
The location was amazing it was better than what my husband and I thought it would be. The photos on this site don't give justice to the resort as the resort is amazing. The breakfast was amazing and the serving was great. However there dinner menu was overpriced and servings were not substantial for the price. I would possible recommend checking out the local restaurants for dinner as a better alternative to dinning at the orchud restaurant, which are 10 - 15 minute drive from the resort.

SpainInternet is working very well in the Bure's (rooms), but in the common areas could be better.
Fantastic Hotel-Retreat to enjoy some days in Nadi area. Deepika, Ledge and all the team had been very kind, helpful and resolutive. They make us feel very welcome. The food is really nice. The massage is amazing, a must do. Complementary pick-up/drop off service from/to Nadi Airport is offered. No doubt, we'll repeat the Fiji Orchid when we'll be in Nadi again.

United StatesThe only drawback is that it is not in a location where you can walk about and see other things.
As other guests have stated, it is remote, so you must either have a vehicle or rely on their driver (who was most obliging). Kelso picked us up at the airport with a smile even though it was an early flight. We were greeted upon arrival with more smiles and a cool drink. They allowed us to check in early since the bure was available, which we greatly appreciated. The facilities are lovely and quiet. All of the staff were very polite and courteous. We were able to arrange an afternoon sightseeing tour with Kelso, the driver, and also another day trip for snorkeling. The food was delicious. You could either eat in the dining room or your room.

New ZealandThe location is not convenient, as we hadn't researched to much about fiji we didn't realize this would be so far away from main centers, essentially port denaru where we were going on day trips. 40mins each way. The other was transport, the location is not covered in the pick-up drop of for trips which made it expensive ontop of the actual accommodation cost and very expensive meals (great food!) But very expensive.
This is an absolutely beautiful oasis with amazing staff and good food. Set in a tropical secluded space of the beaten track, with beautiful a pool and tropical garden dining and overall setting, small and personal with only 6 bures.

AustraliaIt would be nice if the pool was heated as it was a little bit cold while we were there. The bathrooms have glass windows that can be seen through, so it would be nice if they were frosted for additional privacy. We had a rental car and it was sometimes inconvenient getting back into the property. A doorbell at the front gate would make accessing the property easier throughout the day.
The staff were extremely friendly. The Fiji Orchid is a hidden gem which is a bit out of the way and out of the hustle and bustle. We used a rental car but they do offer airport transfers.

AustraliaIt was fine for us, but be aware there is nothing around you, so you'll need to get a taxi or driver to take you if you want to go anywhere. It will be no trouble for the staff though, as they go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay!
A delightful stay! Felt like we were on a rainforest retreat with the beautiful setting. Loved our bure and the pool so much we didn't leave during our stay. The meals were great, and the staff went out of their way to do a special meal for us to suit dietary requirements. Not to mention, the best pina coladas!
