Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe food was average at best. The buffet was very below par. The pool had issues while we were there, and was quite green. To be fair to the resort, they were working hard on this issue and by day 6 of our stay, they had resolved the issue with the pool and the water was crystal clear again. However we spent most of our time swimming in the ocean. The AC in the rooms would not cool the room to below 24 degrees Celsius, regardless of what setting you put it on.
The beach was wonderful and we spent most of our time on loungers under the shade of the trees, overlooking the beach. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The kids club was very helpful. This resort was good value for money and very family friendly. The resort overall was comfortable.

AustraliaLocation - if you want to plant at the resort and not go anywhere this doesn’t matter. and the snorkelling off the resort was good. However, the most spectacular things we did were the day trips to islands and it’s a 2 hour bus ride from Naviti to Port Denaru where all the day trips go from… so this makes for incredibly long days. While the resort was great and excellent value for money, next time we would stay as close as possible to Port Denaru and max island day trips. Also, the dinner food selection wasn’t great. we opted for a la carte (not all inclusive/buffet) and, especially as a vegetarian, the selection at the main restaurant was limited and not great. However, the buffet breakfast was excellent and there are 2 other restaurants at the resort we didn’t get the chance to try.
extremely family friendly (great for families with little kids but couples don’t come here!) Pool wasn’t fancy but does what you need. rooms were basic but clean and has everything you need. Snorkelling straight off the resort was really good! and free snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards were great. Easy to book day tours from the resort. All staff were beautiful. The whole resort operates on “fiji time” so nothing is fast but everything is so positive, friendly and lovely.

New ZealandOur Rooms were somewhat dated and need some renovation. Bugs in wardrobe. Recommend having a top floor room. We had ground floor rooms and had quite a bit of late night noise from rooms above. Need more sun loungers in shady areas. Reception staff need to be more efficient. It took half an hour to check in on arrival. Not what you want after a flight and a two hour drive to the resort. Was disappointed with the Talei restaurant. Wasn’t as good as we expected. Long wait for meals that were definitely not gourmet. Would definitely choose the Bamboo over the Talei restaurant.
The best thing about the Naviti is the staff. Lovely welcome and always very friendly and so helpful. Could not rate them higher. Location of the room was lovely with garden and sea views. Grounds were beautifully kept. The breakfast buffet was good. Evening buffet varied, sometimes good sometimes just average. Enjoyed the Bamboo Terrace Restaurant. It was excellent and good value too. Would definite recommend it. The fire dance entertainment was great. Tour desk staff were very helpful and we very much enjoyed our Sigatoka river cruise and visit to the school and village.

United KingdomThe wifi was terrible, so slow and unreliable. The buffet food was great some nights and a bit average on others, depending on the daily theme. Would have liked to see a bit more variety in the options for a buffet.
Beautiful location right on the water, staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A full range of activities to keep everyone entertained, loved the nightly shows and games.

AustraliaOur room was located in between the shop, spa & housekeeping storage - not a great location for a resort that wasn’t full. Extremely noisy! Bathroom fan didn’t work so the bathroom also smelled.
Buffet breakfast was excellent, looked forward to it each day. Staff are so lovely & helpful. View is fantastic. Pool & pool bar was great.

AustraliaThe staff members generally were not very helpful. At the very check in there was no briefing regarding buffets and "all inclusive" packages, or what we should do if we are not part of the package. Being directly asked, staff members (at reception and restaurant) weren't able to tell us a price for the lunch buffet and it took us ordering the buffet and then paying for it to find out the price. When aircon broke in our room I went to the reception and they informed me that the technician will come in 10 min. Technician came 2h later after we called twice (after an hour first time and after 1.5h second time) Literally any meal (even sandwich or plain chips) at the main restaurant will take minimum 50 min. Ordering drinks from the staff does not make any sense as you can do it yourself for 5-10 minutes at the bar or it will be 30-50 min if staff helps you, even if you ordered a beer. Bamboo Terrace restaurant always tell you that they are booked out if you are trying to come without a booking. However, once I tried to make a booking over the phone and did not succeed. When I informed staff member about it they straight away found seats available in both Chinese and Italian restaurants despite telling me beforehand that the place is booked out. After 3h there the restaurant was still only about 50% full so I wonder if it was actually booked out. Apart from that, however, Bamboo Terrace has great food and good service - especially compared to the main restaurant. Main restaurant is a major disappointment. Buffet is normal (and offer variability), however if you are not part of all inclusive package you are limited to a tiny menu with about 20 items in it that never change. As mentioned before, waiting for any meal takes a very long time and the quality of food served is very average, especially compared to the well presented and flavourful meals from Bamboo Terrace. The Spa is very unwelcoming.
The entire territory of the hotel is very well maintained and nicely lit. It offers beautiful views and great landscaping. Activities are good - the place has gym, swimming pool and also offers activities such SUP, kayaking and snorkeling. One of the treadmills was broken, however. The room was big and had great view of the ocean. Some of the furniture was old but generally in the good condition. Tour desk was great - staff member was very helpful and well spoken. When one of our tours got cancelled due to tour guide being sick with covid, alternative arrangements were managed very well. Bamboo Terrace restaurant has great food and good service and I highly recommend selecting this place over the main hotel restaurant. On our last night the staff said goodbye with the beautiful traditional song.

AustraliaThere needs to be a reinforcement of wearing masks in the hotel. Everyone treated it like there was no pandemic, while covid was apparently spreading quite rapidly and there were clearly people quarantining in their rooms. If you do check in, just be safe, wear a mask and keep your distance. It takes about 30 min to check out so remember to settle your bill much earlier than you think. Quite pricey if you did not get the all inclusive for food and drinks.
Food was good. Buffet option is great when you are in a hurry or don't want to wait, but the option for a la carte is also available if you wanted that. The option of 3 different places to eat was great and if you wanted, there is an adult only restaurant. Definitely good for kids with a lot of kid activities.

New ZealandThe toilets by Nukunuku restaurant were a bit hard to get in and out of as the door almost touches the toilet when opened so you have to squeeze yourself up beside the toilet and wall, I’m a small person and I struggled so I can’t imagine it’s very accessible for a larger person. Seating and ordering was a little confusing at the Nukunuku at times and staff weren’t always clear on telling you what to do - I think there needs to be more of a clear sign between the buffet, nukunuku and the grill.
We loved the location, the staff, the pool and pool bar. Bamboo Terrace restaurant was AMAZING - the food and staff went above and beyond. We enjoyed the buffet food at Nukunuku and the Grill Bure too! Activities staff were amazing, we loved pool water aerobics, volley ball and the Sundance - so much fun. Pool bar staff were amazing and remembered us and our order, they were great to chat to.

AustraliaNo complaints from us ;)
The Naviti is a really fabulous place to stay, the rooms are spacious and surrounded by gardens. The whole resort is gorgeous, and the staff are the friendliest ever. There are lots of activities to do and the cultural shows are amazing and the singing is so beautiful. We paid a bit extra each to watch the fire walkers and they were great too. We went snorkeling off the beach and saw lots of fish and seahorses too!
