Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaSome guests being rude and ignorant. Not enough sun decks around the pool and along grassed area looking over the sea. some didnt have umbrellas, was hot in the sun. Renovations taking place, were put in a different room than the room we had booked, but room was still nice. Children being annoying in the small spa pool with their pool toys.
The welcome on arrival. The staff were beautiful, kind, friendly, always happy, made our holiday special. The Lobby seating area was great to relax having a coffee/drink. Restaurants were nice, food was delicious, themed buffet nights were fantastic. Loved the dancing and singing from the the local villagers. The activities for the kids were fun.

AustraliaThe fact that you encourage us to bill the room and pay by C/Cad then charge a C/Card fee when we pay. The beach at the back of the resort is extremely hard to walk into the water and dangerous with the rocks and coral so close to the shoreline
Breakfast was good, except the omlette lady was extremely busy. All meals were of a high quality. The original room had something wrong with the toilet which kept me awake all night. The second room was in a newer part of the building and very modern except whoever put the door on the shower made it so the water runs under the door and soaks the whole floor.

AustraliaThe renovations happening in the room right above ours was quite disruptive and meant we couldn’t really use our room for at least 8 hours each day despite still paying full price on the room. We also didn’t know it would be happening until we were woken up by it.
We loved the staff, they were so friendly. The snorkeling was amazing and straight off the resort!

Australia3% surcharge on all items - was told that this was a mastercard charge, only to then be charged another 'mastercard' charge on our account of 3% as well. There was also a room fee per night of $150 that was not disclosed at the time of booking. Additional charges are annoying, but ok ....as long as you are aware of them when you are selecting your accommodation. The beach was great for snorkeling, however wasn't sandy, so not somewhere you'd go for a dip. As with any resort in Fiji - be prepared to spend your money on food. It is expensive.
Great Japanese restaurant. Very friendly staff and entertaining evening performance. We were put in a lovely, clean room and given a travel cot on arrival.

AustraliaThere is nothing 5-star about this resort. I've stayed at both the Sheraton and Marriott in Fiji and the Warick is miles apart from these resorts is every aspect. The Warwick is more like 3 stars at the very most. Where the Warwick goes wrong is it still charges the same prices for food as other 5 star resorts, yet the quality is no way near as good. Buffet breakfast is average with long wait for cooked eggs, and very limited options from those with dietary requirements (lame and limited GF options, and no other milk apart from full cream dairy). The themed buffet dinners are expensive for bland food. Basically all food coming from the Bula Brasserie is bland with no flavour. The other restaurants (Italian and Japanese) are ok, but so pricey, and if you want an early seating at either of these restaurants you need to book days in advance. It was so hard to get a 6pm booking, yet the restaurant was half empty till 7pm. Prices for drinks were also ludicrous. They charge FJ$17 for a single Fiji local beer, and serve it straight from the can - definitely not 5-star! These beers were FJ$7 at the Marriott. We ordered nachos with guacamole from the sunset bar and got a handful of Doritos, and about enough guacamole for 3 chips - for FJ$13!! Service throughout is very average - rarely greeted with a smile when you request something such as a water refill. The wifi is also an absolute joke anywhere in the resort. You can manage a few WhatsApp texts and that's about it. We came here with our 3 year old and 10 month old and struggled a bit. Kids club was average and at the time was held in a conference hall as they were upgrading the original room. The kids eat free policy is confusing and not great. The poor kids get a very limited buffet of pretty unhealthy food. Dinner at all restaurants also doesn't start till 6pm, which means the kids don't eat till close to 6.30pm - thats too late for my little ones.
Struggling to find things I liked about the resort to be honest. Location on the coral coast was great if you had older kids - there were kayaks and snorkels for hire. I wasn't expecting coral to be right on the beach. Great for these activities, but not great if you actually wanted to swim in the ocean. Rooms were ok

Beautiful Location, palm trees, beach all very beautiful. Both swiming pools, bars and dining facilities were all great. Japenese restaurant and Italian restaurant were both very good. AustraliaAt peak occupancy times a few tweaks needed- on multiple days towels not replaced with new ones once room was cleaned as laundry hadn’t provided new ones in time. Ditto pool towels, couldn’t even get one on our first day. Prices of food quite expensive for what it was. And couldn’t get into restaurants unless we booked very much in advance. A more centralised booking system would be good to prevent multiple bookings in different restaurants for same group. Bathrooms could do with a refresh. Ours often smelt musty. Was clean though.
Lots of choices of restaurants, pool was nice and kids well catered for. Teppanyaki dinner was a highlight. Beds very comfortable.

AustraliaLong way for the airport take 2 hrs 30mins not the time advertised. The resort promotes facilities that aren’t functioning in the same capacity any further. The extra paid for an ocean view was a glimpse over the pool and through the trees not a real ocean view.
Staff were nice and the view of the ocean was great from the beach. Able to swim in the ocean due to the coral coast.

AustraliaThere were no simple or less expensive lunch options. With kids we ordered room service for lunches and the room service food was not great.
Beautiful setting, great facilities, friendly staff, and an overall peaceful experience The daily activities, kids club, non-motorised water sports equipment, buffet breakfast and ocean view from our room balcony made it all a very enjoyable stay.

Australiareported air conditioning issues on the second day, however, staff were not accommodating. The aircon in the room felt like it needed a filter change or due for a replacement, as I felt that it was not up to hotel standards especially for the price we paid. pool closure at 7pm. no room number in the key card. only received 3 towels when I booked for 4people. towel replacements were inconsistent daily. some days, no hand towels, floor towels , face towels. applying for a visitor pass the day before. MISCOMMUNICATION from staff and even on check out.
free to roam the resort, kids had activities they could do during the stay. daily activities. pool volleyball, breakfast.

New Zealandfood prices are very high. I had read this on some reviews prior and thought that this was subjective- and it is- but as reasonable income earners who still try not to “waste” money we were shocked and moderated our buying because of this. it would be nice for the kids to have the option to have meals or snacks more readily available during the day- there is no real option for “morning tea” or “afternoon tea”
staff are outstanding.
