The road. Leading up to the hotel is a 500m long goat path full of potholes. Not the best for a normal car - luckily we had a raised hatchback. If you meet someone coming the opposite way - good luck. The bathrooms could use an update.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The situation is incredible. Breakfast was excellent. The view from the terrace was breathtaking. The bed was super, and I like that there is no stress about housekeeping. The decoration was tasteful, and you can tell a lot of love went into the renovation.

The Abbaye was an amazing experience. The view from our balcony, the huge room, the staff couldn't have been more lovely and you could tell they were so proud of their gorgeous facility. The dinner and breakfast were probably the best I've had in all our years of travelling...Inspired is the word that comes to mind.

The shower was too small for tall people. There was mold on the walls of the bathroom. There was no shampoo. We tried the restaurant, and it was widely overpriced. The menu seemed nice, but the food was extremely weird and not pleasant (mushroom ice-cream with chocolate, tasteless starter, and smoked, full of fat lamb...)

Beautiful building with great views. There is a private sauna. It's an experience staying at an abbaye!

The only complaint I have is that gravel in the parking lot and the path to the front desk made it very difficult to roll your luggage into the hotel. There was no bell boy to help either.

It's a shame we only stayed one night at Garrigae Abbey, because there was much to enjoy at the hotel. We sat near the pool as the sun went down (the water was a bit chilly to really stay in for long) we had dinner inside the restaurant (upon the advice of the staff who said it was very buggy outside) and the food was delicious. We went outside for drinks afterwards and it was a beautiful view from the terrace. Our room was very large with not just one balcony, but a small staircase which took you up to a private 2nd balcony with lounge chairs.

The breakfast is served at either the charming dining room or the terrace, a unique experience. As for the breakfast itself, whatever is served is fresh and tasty but lacks in variety and there with not much healthy offering, for example no vegetables at all

The bed and pillows could be better, we didnt sleep very well. The toilet / flush was not great to use either.

The loocation is amazing and near all touristic attractions and small villages. The view is stunning, the restaurant is great and everyone for the service is wonderful. Our breakfast was better taken in the room given the insects on the main terrace, free of charge !

The hotel was beautiful, the room was comfortable and clean and so relaxing (although the a/c could have been stronger for hot summer nights). the pool was gorgeous. the breakfast was really really good, the terrace was lovely.

We had the most fantastic experience staying in the Abbey: traveling in the space and time into harmony and serenity! We valued privacy and hospitality of the hotel. The restaurant is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner with a spectacular view on the valley.

Two small things: I thought the waiting staff were a bit young and inexperienced. Such fine food should have been served by slightly more experienced staff. That said, our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The only other negative was that pretty much all of the pot plants throughout the entire hotel were dead. The weeds seemed to be doing fine, but the whole experience would have been so much more enjoyable had there been beautiful pot plants. Also, it's a bit tacky having plastic plants on the table when such exceptional food is/was being served.

We both really enjoyed our stay at the Abbaye de Sainte Croix. As others have already explained, the location and the views were genuinely exceptional. Our room was clean, simple and very quiet – parfait. We had dinner on the terrace overlooking Salon de Provence. I had high expectations, given the menu and the chef's reputation, but was blown away by the quality of the ingredients, flavours and presentation. It really was fine dining.

The view at dinner was exceptionally breathtaking, truly something I've never seen before. The service and tastiness of dinner was amazing, and very well valued. The rooms are great, super comfy. It really did exceed my expectations.
