Breakfast was OK , I cannot say it's excellent but was good enough based in the European standards of limited varieties Location is SUPER excellent for everything you need to do

compared with other places we have stayed, we felt it was overpriced. as we have been travelling for several weeks we have a lot of luggage and we had to walk up and down various stairs, lifts and walk through the breakfast room to get to our room.

Thé staff were very helpful and we appreciated the proximity to the train station

The Spa was very small - and cost €60 each time you wanted to use it! Never had to pay that in any hotel before and was very expensive given the size of it. Other than that our stay was perfect. Could also do with serving some light snacks and having a bit more of an atmosphere in the lounge area.

We had the room with the terrace - it was amazing! View of the city was great.

As we've choose the best room in the whole hotel everything was just perfect !

Everything was perfect. Mostly because we ve reserved the room with a private tarrace (room no.810) - I highly recommend it, its the best room ive ever stayed in, the view i amazing, and eveything is so functional in it. Breakfast is served in a shady adorable patio :) Its good, not the best, but good enough.

-it does not feel comfortable walking around the hotel (outside) in the evening, unfortunately. - as it is end of the summer season the personel seems to be a bit annoyed...

Superb hotel in the heart of the city. Beautiful internal court, calm, quality bed. Lovely staff, actually so much friendlier than most hotels I’ve been at!

we thought we were getting a balcony from the way the hotel room was shown on Booking.com, however this wasn’t the case. only some rooms had balconies. but the hotel was still amazing and would stay ahain

Cozy and modern hotel right next to the central train and bus station. Lovely and very helpful front desk staff that fulfilled all our requests to improve our stay in Marseille.

The walk from the hotel to the port wasn't very pleasant - take the metro. We didn't have breakfast and never used the leisure facilities. I had mistakenly thought they were included when booking.

The proximity to the station was exactly what we wanted. The room was a bit quirky and modern but very tasteful. I loved the wooden walnut key cards.

The hosts except for one of them were very rude. I asked for a map and they pointed to the stack of maps and didn’t even get up. When I asked her were is the hotel in the map, she answered annoyed

We asked for a room with a balcony and we're told via Booking that this request had been accepted and would be accommodated. However, on arrival to the hotel, we were told that they would never have been able to actually give us a room with balcony (the hotel was full). Although not a big deal, it was a bit disappointing. We did get a price reduction on one spa used which was very much appreciated and a nice gesture. There was not a ton of room to put our things away in the room, and I think considering how massive the nathroom was, I would have appreciated a wee shelf or something to be able to empty my suitcase.

The hotel was nice and clean and access to the spa was lovely, although a bit expensive. The room was clean as well and had AC, which we were able to control easily. The bathroom was quite big with a nice shower. The location is extremely convenient, right next to the main train station and maybe a 15 min walk from Cours Julien, where all the food is :)

The location isn't the best if you are spending a long time in Marseille. But for us it was great as we needed to be near the train station.

We had a great stay at Alex Hotel. The staff were really friendly, helpful and made you feel at home. The room was clean, modern and spacious. The location for us was perfect as we needed to be near the train station, but we could still easily access the Old Port and Le Panier neighbourhoods for sightseeing in the day.

Marseilles is just awful. But this hotel was close to the train station which was great. The staff was great which made the experience better.

Great location for a stopover in Marseille, right next to the train station and an easy walk to the port. Room was away from the street and very quiet and there was also a nice courtyard seating area where breakfast is served.
