On the second night an alarm went off at 2am Apart from the price that was paid at first country taxes were charged at the check in. No idea of this happens with all hotels.

Hotel close to both main station and metro's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The twinned bedded room was clean, cosy and warm, beds really comfy. Tea, coffee, milk, water, cake replenished daily. Breakfast good value.

Paris is very noisy! Nothing the property owners can do about it but it was very noisy at night.

Location. Walking distance of Gard du Nord and the metro line. Lots of cafes within walking distance and excellent bakeries and patisseries.

Breakfast was 6.5 euros but had very poor choice, I took 2 croissants but a lady took one away from me, which is very weird. Food was not that fresh and coffee not that tasty.

Be aware that the area near the hotel is on the dodgier end of Rue du Faubourg-Poissonniere - Barbe Rochechouart train station is just around the corner, and there are a lot of touts outside - but that's not a reflection on the hotel. The location is convenient in almost every other way, as it's close to Metro and walking distance from Gare du Nord - perfect for connections to the airport.

We stayed here for our final 3 nights in Paris and were delightfully surprised - the hotel photos in the listing perhaps need some updating, as the room we stayed in seemed recently renovated and was extremely comfortable and clean and modern. The wifi was great and the bathroom was excellent. The twin-brother hotel owners were also very helpful in every way, and permitted us to leave luggage without charge after check-out so we could meet commitments in Paris unencumbered, which was much appreciated. Overall, I would stay here again in a heartbeat - highly recommend!

Welcome water and snacks. Coffee bar and water heater in room. Close to Metro. Nearby stores. Balcony view of the street. Carlos and Monica were nice to us.

The building looks rather old but it didn’t leave any unpleasant impression, as the room was clean.

The room and bathroom were very clean and very warm. Plus we could open the window, the room was on the fifth floor (room 51). No bad smell. The location is super, about 5 minutes walk to metro and less than 1 km to Sacré Coeur. Also you can find cheaper restaurants in the area.

The soundproofing of the rooms is very limited. If someone opens the door from the other side of the corridor you can hear them. If the next door tenants are speaking you can also hear them as if they are in the room with you. Also, for some reason room cleaning service did not come on day 2. I saw them knocking on other rooms' doors on my level but for some reason did not bother to knock on mine. However the next day my room was cleaned. Be aware of the neighbourhood however as it is very sketchy and some fights even broke out a few steps away from the entrance of the hotel. But once inside the hotel, you feel very safe.

The room was well equipped with a heat radiator, kettle, coffee and tea bags etc. The beds were very comfortable. Check in was also very easy and flexible as I checked in at 11:00 since my room was already ready. Lift easily accessible. The room warms up easily and a fan was even present for summer. The room was the perfect size for a solo traveller. Shower gels and soap are provided and the shower facilities are very good, with both hot and cold water available and with good pressure.
