How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Ideally located for a stop over en route to the coast. All the staff we met were very polite and helpful. We had a very enjoyable meal in the hotel restaurant which was very good value.

This was our stop over hotel on our way to Spain. Excellent hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and very nice breakfast. Due to Covid restrictions, the hotel restaurant was closed, but we managed the get a table at the nearby 'Le Zinc' restaurant.

Evening Restaurant was shut at weekends, maybe just temporary because of COVID. There are one or two across and up the road which were good but book ahead/or when you arrive as they are popular
5 minutes off the motorway - hotel seems very new and spacious rooms - good value for money for the proce we paid. Lots of parking and there is an area where the car park gates are shut at night if you want it, the other part is open Room was quite large and comfortable

The toilet door was broken and there was no one available to fix it, the staff were not in a position to offer us a different room.
It was convenient and clean and the staff were helpful. We had a meal which was tasty and reasonably priced. The breakfast was super.

The room was comfortable and clean with a great large bed for a good night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant after a long day driving. A full continental breakfast was excellent. Secure parking overnight was good and easy access to the motorway for our onward car journey back to the UK.

A minor point: the staff is overburdened with lengthy and seemingly complicated check-in procedures. Lots of things have to be typed in while all the necessary information is or should be already digitally contained in the guest reservation so the front desk staff should be able to check guests in within seconds. Because it is not the case, guests have to wait in line. This seems unnecessary and it is also uncomfortable in times of Covid. I guess it must also stress staff unnecessarily.
Very convenient hotel, perfect location for the purpose, clean and well maintained, modern, reasonably priced.

My husband wasn’t impressed that he could not get a plate when there were none left for breakfast but was simply told that they were all being washed.
Perfectly located for a night stop on our way from south to north, has electric chargers for e-card, Tesla supercharger around the corner. Quick check-in, clean room, comfortable beds.

Restaurant and bar were closed at 10.30pm which is disappointing - especially when using this hotel after a long drive and you would (at least) like to relax a bit with a (soft) drink.

The hotel manager was extremely rude and impolite. How can someone like that work in a customer-service related job? I will write to Kyriad with more specifics about his behavior, because it is totally unacceptable to treat customers that way.
The beds were very comfy and my room was quiet. Check-in staff was lovely.
