Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsYou have to pay a deposit upon arrival to ensure you don't leave the room behind in a mess. While I understand that this might be necessary, it wasn't obvious to me when booking. For some people this could be an issue.
Great hotel. I like that it's close to the bus and train station, although a bit far away from the city center. The room itself is pretty big, and comes with a small kitchen, which is pretty nice. The bathroom was comfortable, everything was fine.

United KingdomAs a solo traveller arriving by train and leaving by bus the location was great and very quiet. Central Perpignan is just a short walk and there is a shop in the adjacent complex for travel supplies, etc. My room had a little balcony and a lovely view of Canigou. Staff are friendly and welcoming, which is always nice when travelling alone. The room is quite simple but everything I needed at a good price.

United KingdomIt would be nice to have some balcony furniture. But I was satisfied none the less.
I have stayed in the hotel before. I paid a small extra charge for early check in & a balcony. The room has a small kitchenette which is good. The location is directly across the road from the train station and bus station. I very much enjoyed my stay.

FranceCarpet cleaning is needed!
It’s a comfortable convenient hotel located across the street from the main Train Station in Perpignan. Bus service across the street. Everything is very convenient. The Front Desk persons are warm and engaging and ready to help with whatever you want. I hate to say too much for fear of the hotel being discovered !! One small complaint… the carpets need a good cleaning. Aside from that it’s a good place at a great price.

United KingdomThe room looked a little tired, the shower cubicle needed modernisation and overall would benefit from a refurbishment.
I arrived around midnight and the Reception staff was very welcoming and attentive. The facilities were excellent, with the dinette and coffee machine, although I did not use them on this occasion. The bed was very comfortable, although I was unable to close down the noise from the air conditioning unit. In any case I slept well. I checked out early without breakfast.

NetherlandsExtremely noisy fridge, every few minutes it would make a loud bang, luckily everyone was so tired that once we fall asleep, it wasn’t bothering us anymore. Although the bathroom itself was a very good size, the shower area was very small, a person bigger than the average certainly wouldn’t be able to move around comfortably. There was no explanation whatsoever on how to leave the parking lot and go to the hotel, we were LITERALLY trapped inside the underground parking and had to keep walking around with kids, luggage and a dog until we could hear people talking, we then followed those people to enter the hotel (it was only possible to access the lift using the room key, which we didn’t have yet!). At the reception we were told that it was necessary to go outside the parking lot (I still don’t know how) and walk around the block to enter the hotel from the main entrance, not using the lift from the underground parking, as the lift can only be opened with the room key.

IrelandThe area is quite noisy at night with traffic and people shouting at all hours, although that is to be expected with such a central location.
The twin room was a good size with reasonably comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchenette and a large bathroom. The location is very convenient, right across from the main train and bus station. The staff were very friendly and we were able to store our luggage for free when arriving before our check-in time.
