How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There are 2 flights of stairs - one to the main level on the second floor and another to the third floor where the beds are located. This was not a problem for us (and Farida kindly carried up my suitcase!) but if you have issues with stairs, this may be more difficult for you.
Farida’s property had everything needed and is well-located. Very clean and decorated with very nice touches.

Great location in the heart of Arles. Easy to wander the streets and explore the old town. Very clean, comfortable and interesting apartment. Host is friendly and welcoming.

There is only air-conditioning in one bedroom, but there were also three powerful fans including a silent night one in the other bedroom so we were able to cope with the strong summer temperatures.
The host was super helpful. The property had real charm and everything was set up to make the most of Arles and have a comfortable stay. The property looked quite far from the centre on the map but in actual fact was perfectly situated in that it was a short walk to all the sights and restaurants, but was quiet in the evenings and near the river.

Lovely apartment, in great location, inside the old city and right next to many restaurants and bars. Quiet beautiful street. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need, good kitchen and washing machine.the apartment is suitable for 3 friends or couple with 2 kids. The house holder is really nice and very helpful. We recommend it!

Warm in high season and some mosquitos. Luggage drop before parking nearby took a little understanding and incorrect navigation of one-way systems.

Nothing! We wished we could stay longer.
Everything about this apartment is perfect. It's an easy, and very pleasant 15min walk from the train station along the river. The apartment itself is so tastefully and beautifully renovated, and has everything you could possibly need/didn't even know you needed, including a private little patio off the bedroom to enjoy your morning coffee/evening wine and cheese (stock up at local shops nearby). The owner is so welcoming, kind and hospitable. Her recommendations for dining and sightseeing were spot on. She even gave us excellent tips for the rest of our journey through the south of France (+ her english is great!). The tiny town of Arles, blew us away and should not be missed. There are too many historical sites, ancient monuments, excellent dining options to name here, but a standout local shop for us was Circa (2 rue Roquette)-- an incredibly well curated furniture/art/ceramics shop by local artists. We bought some beautiful ceramics as a souvenir and the owner kindly wrapped them up super well for us for a safe journey back home to the US.

We were there in May with temps in the 70’s. There is no A/C. We were absolutely fine and had no issues with heat, but August may have issues. Will recommend over and over again!
Ideal location in an authentic neighborhood. Farida responded promptly to all questions, made dinner reservations for us at three marvelous restaurants nearby. Clean as a whistle and fully furnished kitchen etc. Can’t say enough nice things about the flat and our lovely hostess. Parking is not on site, but Farida gave us a clear map ( via email, prior to arrival). You do NOT need a car for Arles, but we had driven in from other Provence locations.

No convenient parking nearby. 15 min walk to safe 24-hour parking garage. Second bedroom was small, dark and had a small, single bed, so not ideal for two mature lady friends wanting separate bedrooms with decent sized beds!
Homely and comfortable apartment on two upper floors. Fine for a couple of days sightseeing.
