Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing, but it has to be mentioned that the bathroom is outside of the room, with a minuscule shower cabin, which can feel a bit restrictive.
A great and friendly place in the heart of Arles old town. It is an older property, but the room is spacious and the bed comfortable, the owner is really approachable and the fresh croissants and bread for breakfast are a nice touch! Great value for money.

United StatesThe location was perfectly located between all of the attractions and main square. It advertises a 4 minute walk to the Amphitheater but it is barely 2! The place itself had everything you need and a good amount of space in the very clean rooms. Breakfast of fresh croissants, baguette, OJ, milk, and yogurt was provided in the morning and was a good start to a busy day of walking.

CanadaNothing really.
The location is in the centre of the town yet it's very quiet. The building has a long history yet the facilities in the bathroom, very new. The bedroom is spacious and bright. The breakfast baguette and croissant are one of the best I have ever had. The owners are meticulous in keeping the room clean and orderly. They also give good advice about what to see and where to eat.

PolandI would regulate a water flush in the toilet a bit, so that it flushes water more effectively.
The place has a perfect location. It is in the very center of the Old Town, just by the Roman Amphitheater and theater, and very close to the Forum Square, where "the Van Gogh" cafe is located. It is also close to the Arles train station (walking distance) and just a 3-minute walk from local bus stops, from where you can go to Saint Remy de Provence or Saintes Maries del Mare. The room is spacious and very comfortable, kept in an old style. The bathroom is outside the room but you have the entire floor to yourself. Both are super clean but the bathroon is a little tiny. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and they provided me with advice on places to see, buses, and trains. They speak perfect English. The room has a kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, and the hosts provide tea, coffee capsules, water, and sugar. There is also a fridge in the room. Breakfast is continental -- always a fresh French baguette and French pastry plus yoghurt, butter, and very tasty bio marmolade. It was fully sufficient for me.

Fantastic location as one could walk to all the main sights within a few minutes. The host was exceptional, very helpful and nothing was to much of a bother. He even took us to the train station at the end of our stay. The breakfast was very good and plentiful - juice,yogurt,tea/coffee,butter,jam, freshly bought croissants and baguette daily. Added bonus was having a microwave, fridge and kettle in the room.Definitely recommend the accommodation without hesitation.

CanadaThere was nothing we didn't like :))
A charming and helpful couple as our hosts. Very welcoming and informative. The room was spacious and well laid out with little touches of comfort - Nespresso machine, filtered water, microwave. Small bathroom, but well designed! Very quiet neighborhood, we stayed for 2 nights in Oct. Good location and walkable to all the historical highlights in Arles. Our continental breakfasts were delivered to our room each morning, fresh baked artisan baguette, and croissants ! :))

United KingdomThe bathroom was just a little too small.
The house is situated right in the center of Arles well within walking distance of all important sites. Although this isn’t a hotel, you have the whole of the second floor for your stay. Although the floor has only two rooms, the bedroom is very large with double bed, fridge, tv and tea and coffee facilities, and the bathroom is very clean.

United KingdomEverything about this place is wonderful. It’s on a little square tucked away by the amphitheater, and it’s so perfect it looks like something from a film set. It’s a tall narrow historic house which has been beautifully restored by the current owners, and you will have a spacious double room on the first floor looking out onto the leafy car-free square. The bathroom is off the same landing as your room, and is compact but really well designed. Everything is really well thought out and convenient but still in keeping with the spirit of the house, for example the fridge in your room is in a little wooden cabinet. The bed was really comfortable. The owners are really nice and very helpful, I will definitely stay here again.

United KingdomThe hotel doesn’t have a posh entrance and it’s not staffed 24 hours a day, but this doesn’t matter because this economy helps to keep down costs in a premium location. Therefore the hotel contrives to offer excellent value for money.
The quality of the room was very good. There was plenty of space, an excellent bathroom, a mini fridge that was stocked with cool drinks, air-conditioning, and comfortable sending. Moreover the location was absolutely super. A lovely balcony was available to guess where they could sit outside in the sun, sip a preprandial drink and if they were smokers they could get their lips round a cigarette.

Very friendly host who covered everything with us. Right in the midst of town, so great to walk around and see the sights. We parked overnight at center parking no problem. United StatesPillows, Noise from the square,
Room was small, compact with bathroom nearby off the hallway in an old building, at the center of the city. Facilities were passable. Hosts were excellent, pleasant and helpful. In the beginning, they were more helpful with information than we needed or wished, but always quaint and pleasant. Room was not air conditioned except for window and weather was very hot in June. Stone courtyard it faced was noisy all day and often at night but required an open window.. Neighbors and pedestrians were noisy at night. Room was a quaint adventure for a 'Van Gogh experience' in Arles but bed (especially pillows) could be upgraded. Breakfast was always prompt and very generous continental fare, that we appreciated for its fresh high quality. (Two fresh croissants and 2 baguettes with good fresh coffee and juice available and yogurt, jam, butter.). Location was superior, outstanding. We felt the accomodation was appropriately priced but would have paid more for a cooler evening and a quiet night.
