Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI didn't like the fact that nothing drew my attention that they wouldn't offer towels or soap or shower gel or anything. I wasn't warned anywhere, neither on the website, nor in the reservation email that they wouldn't offer. I mean it's not a problem, but they should have told, so that I know and take some from home.
I liked that they had an elevator. After a long, hard day of walking and considering that the hotel is a three-floor building, that elevator was like a blessing!! I also liked the well equipped kitchen. You could leave your food in the large fridges with a note of your name, date and room no. on it and there was no problem.

SpainI feel that if the room had been full it might have been a bit crowded.
New and modern hostel in a quiet part of the city. My room overlooked the garden and I was fortunate enough to have it to my self the whole time I was there. All the staff spoke English.

United KingdomWhat I didn't like: - the bed was very uncomfortable, for me, because I like a much softer bed - for me the mattress was too thin. - it would be good to have two pillows as standard. There was an extra pillow available from reception for my last night, but not before. Having the second pillow made a huge difference to getting a good night's sleep and being able to read comfortably in bed. - good lighting, including a good bedside light - not having a safe box in the room. I was worried about the security of my passport, money, computer. I should have asked if there were safe boxes at reception - if there were that would be a good solution. - some of the people 'hanging around' the streets between the hostel and the main road feel a little bit dodgy. Though basically they do totally any one passing by.
I liked lots and lots of things. - Excellent locality. It was good to experience into the 'real' Amiens that people actually live in. It turns out to be a lovely 'liveable' city. - It is so helpful to have really good food shops so close by - I made good use of the supermarket and the boulangerie - It is very quick and easy to walk into the centre of the city. It was fun and interesting to zig-zag through the back streets, finding new ways to walk in and out of the central city each time. - The frequent No 2 Red Line bus makes getting to and from the station quick and easy. - The building is excellent. Interesting architecture. Perfect for use as a hostel. Lots of big public spaces. Big, wide corridors. Huge kitchen and dining room with lots of different places to sit, eat and talk. Everything very clean and super fresh. - My room was on the third floor, garden side. Huge window, lots of light, sunny in the afternoons.I really enjoyed being so high up, looking out into the green of the trees - in fact it felt a bit like being a treehouse. - Everything worked in the room and in the kitchen. - V good shower - straight forward to operate. Not at all claustrophobic - the high ceiling of the bathroom smeans there is space above the shower cubicle. Lots of hot water. - The bedroom and public rooms were a comfortable temperature. - It was so good to have proper windows that opened - being able to get fresh air was a real bonus. - Good to have so many green plants in the public spaces. - The generosity of the space and facilities of the hostel encourage a nice atmosphere amongst guests. - Everything was very clean and super fresh. - There is always someone at the reception desk. Staff are kind, friendly and helpful

RussiaNot sure what is the idea behind it, but the vibe was a bit weird for me - no one speaks English (including the reception), many people stay really long time there. I guess it's me getting wrong the idea of the place as just a hostel that it wasn't 🤔
A good place to stay a night or two, has kitchen and confortable beds. Many common areas and even a library
