We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Franceshower base was extremely slippery. bed sheet wouldn’t stay tucked in and because bed was two single beds pushed together mattress kept sliding. unfortunately I was woken at 1am by continuous banging of doors, shouting, arguing and banging of furniture which continued for a couple of hours.
good location. clean and spacious room. friendly welcome. didn’t have breakfast or use bar so can’t comment. plenty of space in bathroom for toilet bag etc

United KingdomThe smell of stale tobacco and dog ends on the stairs. We felt the staff were trying hard but later found one of them smoking just outside a rear door.
The staff were helpful when recommending somewhere to eat and changed our room as soon as we requested. We would have liked to have known that the carpark was underground becaue on this occasion we were driving a van and the clearance turned out to be 1.2 cm. ..... very, very close.

United StatesAir conditioning did not work, even after we told the staff to look at it. It ran, made a lot of noise but did not cool the room. The pin code of the door kept changing for no reason. We had to come back down to the lobby to get new code every other night. Room is small, even for French standards. Ok for 1 person, but small for two.
