How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

First rate service and excellent location in easy walking distance to sights we wanted to see. 2 star Michelin restaurant in hotel with wonderful dinner. Garage facility with staff help setting up G PS in car. Would I go back? Yes!

everything was perfect
the hotel is nice and the location is just perfect. The Michelin star restaurant is a cherry on the top! Would love to come back one day soon!

The room was very comfortable. It was lovely to look out over the quiet street at the front of the hotel. The location is perfect. Bars and restaurants within an easy walk of the hotel.

To reach third floor you need elevator to floor two and then a flight of stairs. Breakfast is offered in two formulas (express, complete). However it is not clear what is included in the express formula and what not. Quality is good.

Minimal choice of tea in the room. No milk or whitener. Would expect a bit more for the price of the room. Unfortunately no option for luggage storage on Sundays (as a traveler in public transport a bit inconvenient).
Very warm welcome, friendly staff. The room was nicer and bigger than expected. Bathroom fabulous. Breakfast carefully chosen goods and a friendly service.

The breakfast was not buffet style. Hence the choices were quite limited to a few thin slices of meats and breads/pastries. The coffee could have been stronger since i prefer a robust darker flavor.
Easy walk to the center of old Dijon. Lots of good restaurants close by. The concierge was very helpful in recommending places which were not Michelin rated. Enjoyed both restaurants immensely. The staff was extraordinarily helpful in small ways such as having our rental car ready and helping me with french language tips.

The breakfast was quite expensive (€21 even for children). No shaver plug in the bathroom (for our electric toothbrush). The stairs to the third floor were a challenge to bring a big case down but the concierge took it up… if you have lower mobility, the rooms on the 3rd floor will be a challenge. The parking garage was a bit of a walk away so remember to get everything you need from the car as once it’s parked past a certain time, you have to walk and get it. The hotel staff will go for you during certain hours though, that was appreciated.
Comfortable, well equipped and tasteful rooms. Excellent sound proofing and it felt very private. Beautifully designed. Great customer service, friendly staff. Air con was brilliant - and needed as it was super hot. Excellent location. Good (luxurious breakfast). Didn’t use the sauna or eat at the restaurant so can’t comment there. Valet parking.

The bedroom, while comfortable and silent, might have more amenities as no coffee machine, tea boiler, wash clothes, make up mirror or stand alone shower ( in the bathtub).
The staff was very professional and attentional. The location is just perfect, close to city Center. The parking of the car is taken care by a valet parking and provided that you do not need the car from your arrival to your departure this is very convenient. The breakfast is very nice with a lot of products home made. The 2 stars Michelin restaurant linked to the hotel is a plus nevertheless a dinner there has to be booked weeks ahead.
