Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThe property fell short of expectations, lacking cleanliness and emitting an unpleasant odor. Contrary to the spacious appearance in photos, the actual space was noticeably smaller. The cupboards inside were unclean, the shower curtain exhibited mold, and there was a persistent issue of shower leakage. Safety concerns arose from a malfunctioning sofa bed that failed to latch securely, posing a potential hazard. Communication with the owner proved challenging, with a notably slow response time. Despite requesting essential items, the owner took five days to provide a kettle, and several promised items were never delivered even a month later. During our month-long stay, additional frustrations emerged. Requesting permission to receive parcels, we discovered that the promised mailbox key was unavailable. As a consequence, three parcels were lost, and the owner's commitment to forwarding them to our new address went unfulfilled. Overall, our experience was far from pleasant, and considering the issues encountered, there are undoubtedly better alternatives available for a similar price.
The only good about our stay was location.

United KingdomNo explanation of how to use intercom system in order to get into the building. Just a vague picture. Told to contact 'Leone' - No answer from 'Leone' but thankfully some residents took pity and allowed us in. No free parking as listed - count on at lest 25£ on top of booking costs. Parking meters are your only option. This means you have to keep feeding the meter during your stay. Bathroom (which has no ventilation at all) did not appear to have been cleaned, just vacated by the previous occupant. Sodden bath mat which did not dry out during our stay. Used, left over bit of a bar of soap in the bathroom. Half-used toilet rolls, dirty with brown smudgy marks and clearly previously damp then dried up again. Brown engrained discolouration on the bottom of grubby shower curtain, trailing the grimy shower tray. Toilet had specks of faecal matter and all around/behind it there was a pervasive smell of stale urine. 1 towel provided for 2 guests. Damage/scratches to walls, shelves, kitchen doors, table, side of 'bed'. Well-lived space, much smaller than it appears on the wide-angle photos. Absolutely nothing provided in the kitchen, other than a box of salt. Beware: I cut my shin on the sharp edge of the sofa bed - note: this is not a bed. No tea towel or hand towel in the kitchen, just a used, wet microfibre rag left hanging on the edge of a kitchen unit door. 2 washing racks provided, both broken Top of skirting boards, cupboards, pictures and table top all ingrained with dirty. Cleaned table thoroughly before use. Only redeeming features: Fast wifi, nice balcony with views. Not to be repeated.

United KingdomFirst of all, I found communication a bit difficult. I understand the property accept dogs as it says in their description. However, just to double check, I message them to confirm it was okay to bring my dog and never received a reply. On the day of arrival, I messaged in the morning to ask for checkin instructions given that I did not receive any information from them. They were very vague in their reply (only a simple "key box with code"). Later I messaged on WhatsApp and the lady called me to explain she got confused and the property wasn't ready for us yet. We then decided to arrive a bit later to allow her to prepare the property for us. She provided clear instructions for the checkin and we managed to get to flat okay. The flat, however, wasn't properly clean (bathroom was dirty with hair and dirt, so I had to clean it myself). There were no clean towels only dirty ones. One of our blankets was dirty with a massive stain on it. I messaged the host and she brought us clean towels, which we appreciated, but only managed to come by around 22:30 which was a bit late. I also told her about the blankets and she mentioned that there were some other clean blankets in the flat, but at this point we did not trust the blankets were actually clean. It was also difficult to get details on the Wi-Fi. We understand mistake happens but when we paid as much we did for this place, we would expect at least a comfortable and clean place. Communications needs to improve and the host could provide clear instructions to the guests beforehand (e.g., parking details, Wi-Fi details, etc.) The place also needs refurbishing especially the toilet as there's some mould there. Def not worth what we paid and all in all, it was a super stressful stay.
Close to the sea and supermarkets. Easy parking outside.

Great location close to train, the bed was comfortable, had air conditioning and nice balcony to eat outside, and liked that it was equipped with kitchen supplies such as utensils.
