How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast worth 3* , no fresh juice, basic pre-cooked eggs and beacon.... years light from 5* standards. Hamman and Sauna can't fit more than 3 people, no jacusi.
Location is very convenient, close to bar, restaurants, shops. Nice room, corner view on the river, triple glass would help to reduce main avenue traffic noise.

Breakfast was nice but a bit overpriced for the buffet (and to order hot dishes you had to also order the buffet)
Staff were accommodating and friendly. Nice room, well equipped.

Unfortunately breakfast was way too weak for a Boscollo Overall the room and bathroom were clean but the sheets had stains.
The Spa, location, the staff, the restaurant for lunch and dinner.

Everything very good. I did not have the opportunity to try breakfast, so I cannot comment.
Very nice hotel, in a central place of Lyon. The room is comfortable, the bed is big, and the shower is good. I personally don't like the toilets, the sink, and the shower in different spaces, but it is ok. Very nice and helpful staff.

We had a very early flight. They promised early checkin upon availability and unfortunately they didn't comply. There were plenty of rooms available and they did not accepted upgrading even with extra payment.
Excellent location, nice rooms.and common areas. Quality beds Breakfast and reception welcome. Finally we were upgrade to a partial river view (15.00j

No bin in the bedroom. The only bin was in the bathroom and didn't have a bin bag in it.

I only regret that I didn't have time to enjoy the spa, or try the restaurant or breakfast. Next time for sure :)
Only visited to attend a concert at the auditorium, and had just one night in Lyon. The hotel had a wonderful location by the river. The personnel at reception was polite, gregarious, and helpful. My room was very spacious, clean, with big windows opening up to a small balcony. I really liked the small ''The Little Prince'' details in the decoration. The bathroom was also spacious, the shower stall huge, lots of counter space for cosmetics. The bed was very comfortable, fluffy pillows very much appreciated. The lobby is very nicely decorated, and the restaurant looked great as well (although there was not time to try it)

There is no bar (we had to go to another hotel) and an oddly wasted space between the reception and the restaurant, which we never saw anyone in, ever. It was a shame as it would have made a great lounge bar.
Hugely helpful staff in a hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and we had a perfect view of the river.

When we arrived they were not ready for the check in. The reception staff were not organized. The housekeepers are not professionals for 5 star hotel. They did not renew sanitary equipment in the rooms and they didn’t clean the floor every day. Every day we used to order coffee in the morning and afternoon and they never served us with cookies or anything else.
The location was perfect and the room very nice and big
