The property has a lot of room for improvement. I stayed in a mixed dorm and the toilet door's has no locker. Luckly one of the guys had one locker that I could use to take a shower. Also, the lockers in the room don't have keys, you need to carry your valuable belongings with you all the time.

The location is the best thing. The view is gorgeous.

It would be great to post some emergency numbers against harassment. I felt very uncomfortable with some words of a guest in the hostel.

It was very cold. The heating was cut off. Hostel rooms located on 4 floors. Everywhere is its own 2-circuit boiler - did not work. We slept in clothes, having taken hot water in empty bottles to warm up. There was no kettle. There was no hair dryer. The curtains in the bathroom is very dirty - it was disgusting to touch them. The ceiling needs repair

There were no lockers to lock our belongings while we were away from the Hostel each day. That would have been good. There should’ve been some soap for washing dishes in the kitchen readily available as well.

There was no locker key for me available, and no other option was offered. The bathroom door also could not locked and the roof was literally falling down in the bathtub. The hygiene was not good, daily cleaning of the dorms but not the shared parts (bathroom and kitchen). A lot of people got wrong beds assignment to them. Also there is no WiFi.

Location was very good, with a beautiful view. The apartment in theory is amazing. A lot of the staff did not really spoken English but where friendly enough. The beds were okay and clean.

The staff were quite friendly yet they didnt know anything really about the hostel. They ran out of keys for our room for some people. The area was not very clean when I arrived. There was no options for renting towels. When the cleaners left the room they left it unlocked which was quite unsafe, as no one was around at that time. They had no baggage drop system for some people but others they had this facility.

The location is amazing right on the old port which was serviced well by transport.

READ VERY IMPORTANT: Internet not working, light in the room not working Not enough space between the beds and no privacy in the toilet as the lock is broken. Receptionist telling me that he needs to finish his cigarette and then he will do the check in for me which is a first in the hospitality industry.

The room and toilets weren’t cleaned and the lockers weren’t working. We arrived there earlier and we couldn’t do the check in because the owner wasn’t there. He came back at 14:00h but the owner was still late and when we got at the apartment the bed it hadn’t prepared, we had to do the bed ourselves. During the night a guy came to my bed and told that the bed it was yours. Very disorganised!

The location is perfect, in the heart of the city, with many restaurants and attractions close to hostel.

Bare in mind when you arrive, that the place has no elevator and very narrow stairway, so I hope you don't have massive luggages to drag upstairs. It gets really hot in the room and there is no AC, so be prepared to a sweaty night with mosquitoes. You also need a 20€ deposit to get your room key, so make sure you have some cash with you when you arrive. There is no luggage storage if you arrive early, so keep that in mind when you arrive and adjust your arrival time accordingly with the check in time. Also, if you stay in the unit 3, know that there is a washing machine in that bathroom, that the staff uses to wash the hostel laundry, so they can barge in at any time, so don't freak out like I did. And when you get your keys, know that the lockers don't work, so you may want to carry your valuables with you and don't forget to use the key to lock the room when you leave. Me and my roommates thought the door locks itself cause it sounded like it when you leave, but came to find out that it doesn't, when there was stranger sleeping in our living room couch one morning, that no one knew who he was.

The location of the hostel is amazing. And the place has a lot of potential to be great, but right now it feels like the place is just an afterthought.

Bad bed, a little dirty, and no care to the facility. It's just one of those properties that maximizes income without any atmosphere or attempt to do anything better than serve the base low budget traveler. So it goes.

Good location, low price and that's pretty much it. It's really a price decision to stay here, normally there are better facilities for similar prices elsewhere... but if you're stuck, you're stuck and budget is budget. So do what you got to do.

Owner can be a little finnicky, and the rooms get hot, like sweaty hot in the night. Some mosquitoes are expected when you open the window in the night for ventilation. Also, the internet only works on ground floor, and no internet on apartments above.

The location and the apartment in general. It was an apartment converted to a hostel, with a direct view to the port and the cathedral from the window. Clean and lovely. Really good location.

many things: the room was extremely hot; during the night full of mosquitos and there was not way of having the windows closed because it would be a sauna. The owner or person in charge of the place was pretty much arrogant and didn’t have a nice treat towards customers. If you need silence to sleep don’t choose this hostel, being located at the Vieux Port you will listen to noise and people shouting till 4 am.

The rooms were not clean at all and the wi-fi was almost non-existing. The reception ask you to pay a deposit for the key of 20 EUR that they should give you back when you leave. Be careful - if you have to leave before 07:00 a.m. you will not receive your money back. The evening before my departure I kindly warned the manager that I would leave the hostel at 07:00 a.m. on the next day and he told me: 'There is not any problem. We will open at this time'. As I expected, on the following day at 07:00 a.m. the restaurant was still closed whereas I was in a hurry to go to the airport. Finally the manager arrived at 07:25 a.m. which was late for me and he did not apologize at all about this unpleasant situation. I got my 20 EUR back but however this ruined the good impression of my stay at the hostel I had that far.

The hostel is exactly in the city center, at the Vieux Port. There is a great view from the window towards the port and Notre Dame de la Garde. I liked very much its restaurant where one could have very delicious sweet or salty pancakes and beer. If you want to stay close to the main places of interest of Marseille, this is your place.

The washrooms were absolutely unusable. Especially the bathtub. It was beyond gross. I was on the top floor.

The balcony view was everything!! Absolutely breathtaking.
