Room and facilities not cleaned well either before or during stay, No opportunity to get fresh air into the upstairs room so very warm even though outside and downstairs were cool. the presence of a hot water cylinder up there didnt help

Many things were broken: the toilet seat, the ceiling light was falling out, the kitchenette cupboard was falling off. And cleanliness was very poor: the bathroom was not clean, the microwave & fridge we're not cleaned. The manager did not know how to use booking.com. We booked 2 nights & stayed 1. They refused to reinburse 1 nights accommodation and their reasoning for such a poor quality room was that is was a disabled room. The place and grounds were rundown all round. Not worth the hassel to stay there.

Very dated, the rooms need some care and attention as they were looking old and unloved.

This hotel needs an overhaul, the accommodation was very tired. Our air con did not work, plug sockets coming away from the wall and a lot of black mould on the bathroom tile grout. The photos give a good idea of the room size, but it’s all in need of a revamp. The staff were friendly when checking in and helpful when we asked for additional fans. The beds were clean and comfortable and if all you need is some where to crash after a day out on the D-day beaches the location is excellent with secure parking.

This isn’t a dislike, but toilets facilities in the or nearer the bedroom in my room would have been a bonus, I am quite old and having to walk down a flight of wooden stairs in the middle of the night isn’t fun.

Great location very near to Gold Beach(as the name says) lots of parking, and is in a quiet little village, with enough facilities to keep everyone happy.

I specifically requested a wheelchair accessible room as I am a full-time wheelchair user. I was sent confirmation of this from bookings.com however when we arrived at the hotel we were put in to a room with stairs to get up to the bedroom. We complained and then put in a room without any wheelchair specific facilities i.e. accessible shower and sink and toilet. The room was also very small and difficult to negotiate in my wheelchair. This made my stay very difficult. The hotel said that booking.com had made a mistake in offering us a wheelchair accessible room. Something is wrong with this system

The hotel was located in a beautiful little village close to the beach and other amenities. The staff were accommodating but it was impossible to get a wheelchair accessible room.

Room was very dirty, including mattresses, and broken toilet seat. Room had cooking facilities and stank of fish, (which somebody had obviously cooked before our stay. Needs some money spent on it to improve.

The room requires some updating, shower rail was hanging off, shower could bot be adjusted too much as pipes too short, window cill was in very poor condition, wallpaper damaged in all parts of the room. Kitchenette was padlocked shut even though it appears to be included in the booking (may have to pay supplement which is not indicated). Charge for a dog of €10 is not indicated until you book in.

The location is superb and staff are wonderful. Receptionist was very helpful and kind, the cleaners were working hard clearing rooms on all days we were present, all staff were very polite. Working lift was excellent for the disabled member of our party, lovely early black and white photos of Asnelles along the corridors.

The breakfast could have been better. The room could have been better

Location was good. Breakfast was just ok. Bathroom needed refurbishment. Chairs on small patio were dirty. Obviously used for large groups more than couples.

I am very glad we hadn't pre-paid for breakfast - we arrived to be told two "groups" were staying as well so breakfast would be busy. We quickly discovered those two groups were schools and we were staying between the two groups. Even the teachers had no regard for others, standing in the hallway shouting from early in the morning until late. It was disappointing that we couldn't get a courtyard or balcony because the schools had those all booked. A little heads up beforehand would have been appreciated. Clearly staff were busy with the schools as the room was not particularly clean and the change of towels was rushed. The air con/heating did not work either.

Kids enjoyed the loft room.
