How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

- Nothing. Room is simple but it matches the price.
- Great price/quality ratio - Nothing extra in the room but for the price you get exactly what you pay - The staff was very pleasant and we communication about arrival was fast and smooth - There's a parking in front with lots of spaces off-season and for free - During winter holidays there's a market there with live music and feed/drinks stalls, music ends at 23:00 - Right next to the beach - Couple of nice restaurants around (we liked Vietnamese) even off season - You can have a partial sea view from your window - The place is good to stay if you'd like to visit Collioure

The bed mattress could be better although we had a decent sleep. The shower area was a bit small to turn around and wash properly. The fact that there wasn't a place to leave the shower gel up at a convenient height and I had to leave/pick it from the ground made it harder. On the nerd side, we didn't see any power plugs next to the bed so for those who like to spend some time with their phone before sleep while charging it through the night might be inconvenient.
I liked the fact that I could check in any time and everything was automated. Overall the hotel seems a bit old but it is in good shape once you go inside. The room was comfortable with big windows and a lot of light coming in once you open the curtain. The staff also was friendly and helpful.

The wifi was very slow, I work from my laptop so this was pretty difficult. The bathroom was old.
The location was a total surprise. We had never visited this area before and were thrilled about the location of the hotel. We did have to keep our windows closed at night because of the noise but everything else was ok. The bathroom was old as was the hotel but it was good for our one night stay. If you are looking for a great location, this is it.

Noise from the street until late at night
Very central location with quick access to the beach. Plenty of bars and restaurants in immediate vicinity. Their buzz reaches late into the night Car park opposite the hotel - get a 1hr free ticket and then the discounted one from the hotel. Offers organic and fairtrade breakfast

There was a bar/club nearby that played loud music until 2am. We had been traveling all day and had another long day of driving the next day, all we wanted to do was get a good night's sleep - which we did but not until 2am!! Take earplugs with you - they'll help drown out the noise. Breakfast was very average for the price.
It was very central, close to the beach, parking was free opposite the hotel. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Staff friendly. Lots of restaurants around the hotel.

Beds were horrible. Didn't quite figure out how breakfast worked...no infos received. Cleanliness could have been better. Have had more shower space in a campervan! (And definitely more modern). The place needs a real redo.
Friendliness of the night staff. Good location. Parking right next door.

Well first and for most the friendly staff , Loic the owner is a cool gentle person who would go out of his way to accommodate guests requests, He even helped finding a room at a different hotel for a day gap between my reservations. Loved the proximity to the beach, cleanliness. Room was functional with good A/C and a frigo. Centre Plage will be definitely my future choice of stay at Argelès...Merci beaucoup ♥️

The location is near beachside which is great. A lot of restaurants in the nearby,which is good and bad at the same time beacause there is a loooot of noise. The hotel is an old one.. The elevator too nero. The hotelroom, the bathroom(you struggle to take a confortable shower) and the balcony are waaaay to small for me, my husband and my little one... Even i thought there will be a bigger room, we ve found ourselves in a double room, but with 3 beds.. Imagine how unconfortable that was... The only thing that i found positive was the library where my daughter could play a few times. The staff is nice and friendly,the breakfast is good, but i would not return here sorry. Too pricey and too many inconvenients for us.
