Room was quite noisy on our stay (above restaurant?)

Ambiance and location. Breakfast was decent. Staff good. Dinner was well done and good value.

Not easy to find. Dinner not available night we stayed. Probably would not stay again as this was our third visit so would try somewhere different.

Great location on the Marne with interesting gardens. Big comfortable room.

Less didn't like and more just to note really. If you want a meal on arrival - check the restaurant times - it is not open every night.

Charming chateau with lovely grounds and comfortable, spacious facilities. Welcomed by a lovely hostess, who was charming, efficient & kindly well spoken in English. We were well settled in within minutes. Breakfast was fresh, more than sufficiently supplied and with freshly served coffee in beautiful crockery - a really pretty departure from the standard issue. Getting down to the car park is just a tad bumpy but they have a secure parking area with plenty of room. Overall, one of those surprisingly lovely finds that we would be more than happy to re visit!!

Characterful chateau with excellent restaurant. Some parts in need of a spruce up, but enjoyable!

The bed was not hugely comfy (felt like it had a plastic undersheet). More importantly, we tried to leave at 7:00 in the morning in order to catch a ferry but there were no staff and the gate to car park was locked! Eventually around 8 someone arrived and was very helpful and nice, but you really need to warn guests if they are going to be locked in until a certain time.

The restaurant is excellent. The chateau and the rooms have a lot of character.

The restaurant was closed which was a pity as we had to go to the city but the hotel staff, Angelina, recommended us few restaurants and also cab services which were great!

We loved the rooms and the ensuite bathrooms. Everthing was so spacious!! The rooms has the perfect castle touch. The view was great with a big garden and the river in the front. We went for a champagne tasting right next to the chateau. There are many chanpagne houses near by walking distance. So if you dont have car also, it doesn matter so much.

The shower overflowed in our room causing the entire Château fire alarm system to go off, evacuating all the guests. Something they might want to fix as soon as possible.

The grounds were beautiful. The parking was easy and convenient. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Everything. See above. Plus better beds, softer pillows. Provide adequate staffing. Where was Angeline and her team to “Experience the French Way of Life” . Untruthful description of the hotel. I am an Architect with 30 years experience in hotels having worked with top Hotel brands and I recognise a bad hotel badly managed. This is a bad hotel.

Nothing. The write up was deeply misleading. Room tired, poor decor, hot and uncomfortable. shower and basin in narrow alcove off bedroom with curtain only privacy. View from lounge of barren weedy concrete yard, cement wall and road. View from bedroom over staff car park. Advertised as having views of vineyards (none) and river ( distant beyond car park hidden by trees) Unhelpful poorly trained staff (2). Had to carry heavy luggage from distant guest car park. (I am 72 and my wife is disabled.) Restaurant closed. Breakfast minimal. Granola but no milk. Poor narrow steep access down lane.

Disappointing, will return to Chateau Thierry and possibly this restaurant, but not the hotel

The pool was green and not in use Took 30 minutes to get any response when we arrived at our agreed time (4pm) - no response from door bell, gate intercom or phone. No apology for this when owner eventually opened door Lots of little things were not done - towels missing, cups not replaced, no service at breakfast, patio tables not set up for guests - all resolved when requested Hotel guests seemed a bit of an afterthought - restaurant was very different, and professional Breakfast was overpriced and not great (€14 gets a feast in France usually)

The location near Chateau Thierry is amazing, and the riverside walk along the Marne from the property is just right. The restaurant staff for dinner were brilliant, and the quality of the food and wine was very high attracting locals and tourists. The room was ok in terms of size and bathroom, the lack of a/c and shutters was not great given the price and time of year (June) Hotel kindly stored wine we bought on our travels in a cool place (this was vital!)

Lovely chateau! Don’t expect a pristine new hotel- think ‘shabby chic’ in a good way! That having been said, the bedroom was beautiful and the bathroom utterly contemporary. We ate in the restaurant and it was fabulous- great wines and champagne at very reasonable prices.
