We had a bit of a problem logging into streaming services but actually this just meant we played more board games and cards so ended up as a win!

We loved the board games in the apartment. There was a great selection of equipment in the kitchen and the bathroom was also well stocked. Free parking also easily located close by.

The steps to the third floor were very steep and we could not find the switch to close the shutters for the skylight.

A kettle is provided. A percolator is provided. And a coffee Pod machine is provided: - but ALAS, despite hunting, no coffee... I would have expected/appreciated some coffee - any coffee - in any form. Even sachets..? We arrived late on a Sunday night. So no options.

Large apartment, with quirky but tasteful decoration. Exceptionally clean everywhere, & very comfortable beds. The owners certainly consider their clients as guests, and have done everything to make you feel welcome here. The information they provided was clear & truthful.

The chairs and sofa were smelly, they needed to have the fabric cleaned. The towels were old and worn. There were no paper towels in the kitchen. You could hear every time some one stepped on the floor in the apartment above us. The temperature of the shower was hard to adjust.

Well located next to the Verdun memorial and the church. The rooms were spacious.

Upstairs double bed was noisy and soft/lumpy, but that may just be a personal preference. The location worked well for food and the citadel, but a few homeless people around and area not well maintained or cleaned. Renovations are ongoing in the area, so I am sure it will improve over time. Could do with a bit of coffee or tea in the kitchen.

It was clean and stylish with plenty of room. Having a washing machine for laundry was great. There were games for us to play and the orientation pdfs were well laid out.

The stairs leading to the upstairs apartments are narrow and a little steep which is customary in Europe/France. Please consider this when visiting and when packing! We were tourists with big luggage (our fault!), but I'm glad we managed the stairs! The apartments are SOOOOO worth it!!!!

Excellent apartments, safe, immaculately clean, very comfortable and relaxing, spacious, perfectly staged and equipped, quiet location yet close to historic sites and restaurants, close free parking!! I would definitely recommend the Chambre d'hôte et gîte chez Thomas et John to anyone who asks me for a lodging recommendation in Verdun, and I look forward to staying there at my next opportunity!!

There are 3 apartments and it is not well isolated against noise, we had a family above us. But it was no problem we used ear plugs.

The location was super just a few steps from the cathedral and John was the most friendly host ever. Very nice and well equipped appartment absolute value for money.

Directions could have been clearer. We found the square to park in but it wasn't obvious that the yellow box on the wall was a key safe and there were no street names. Nowhere to hang clothes in the bed/sitting room
