A good budget option with pleasant staff and a great breakfast - a no frills room which was comfortable with a good bed and plenty of space - nothing luxurious but spotlessly clean and pleasant friendly staff.

Restaurant dinner menu was very limited

Bedroom, bed and shower were all good. There was only one member of staff covering reception, bat and restaurant. They were therfore pleasant most of the time but under pressure and not quite so helpful at other times. Her customer service was always acceptable despite her multi-tasking.

It should have been explained that the hotel’s car park was too small to accommodate all guest’s cars, and alternative suggestions made.

The hotel was very well located to explore and enjoy Le Puy. The room was very well appointed and quiet - we slept very well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bre ask fast and dinner were excellent.

The view from the room across the car park to a block of flats close by was disappointing, (our balcony was superfluous) and some, but traffic noise when window open, but not enough to really disturb.

Location - an easy stroll to the old town through the lovely Jardin Vinay. Free hotel car park. Excellent wi-fi. Good breakfast options and good value restaurant for lunch or evening meal

The shower was poor. Over the bath, difficult to operate and no grab handle. Very dangerous. WiFi was non existent everywhere in the hotel. Neither of us could connect. Breakfast was quite good but because there was only one member of staff doing everything (Reception, telephone and restocking breakfast) it was very inefficient. The fruit salad was replenished as we left the dining room after we had asked for it when we arrived. I felt sorry for the girl but it was not a cheap hotel and should do better.

We loved the size of the room and the balcony with pleasant views. It’s was dog friendly. Car parking ( but quite small for 30 rooms if all occupied). Close to shops and restaurants. Very convenient.

Our room only had paper cups which we don't like using for wine etc. However the girls on reception were very obliging when I asked to borrow a couple of glasses from the bar. The only real negative is (maybe) the online photos used a wide-angle lens and the bed seemed much bigger in the photo than it proved in real life. It was just a standard double bed (4ft6in in the old scale), a size my wife and I haven't used since Adam was a boy! If we ever stayed again we would book a twin room if available.

We paid for a dinner and breakfast package and it proved to be great value. The hotel seems to cater for business travelers with all evening dining tables taken by a lone person (mainly males). I thought there would be some restriction on our dinner package but it proved to be the same as available for everyone else. Very pleased with our stay.

Outstanding location, right by the beautiful city park. City is small enough to be walkable. Car park is conveniently located right next to the hotel in case you want to drive and explore the beautiful countryside. Restaurant in the hotel is good, or you are close to many city restaurants if you prefer. Spotlessly clean, very quiet.

Everything was fine, good room. Fantastic location, Le Puy is a fascinating place and we wish we had more time there. Could park motorcycle off the road in the car park.

Lack of air conditioning was a shame. There’s was nothing bad but it all felt a little lack lustre.
