How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Excellent location. Near metro and all Montmartre has to offer. Studio 28 cinema is a must visit too and 10 minutes away.

Floor could have been cleaner, slippers provided as it’s rough floor on the balconies including splinters.
Great accommodation for 3 sharing with the sofa bed and twins in separate rooms. The real highlight is the two balconies. There is also a roof terrace.

The location of Citadines was excellent, such a great spot to explore the fabulous Montmartre and so ease to access the metro for other destination. The staff were so helpful and we were a part of a group of 23. The apartments were very clean and comfortable, basic but very well equipped.

The bathroom has a bathtub that is a little high for elderly people with reduced mobility.

Not were quite
We really liked our room. It felt spacious, clean, and laid out in a smart way so we had a decent sized bedroom, bathroom (with bathtub!) kitchenette, and ample wardrobe space all in our compact suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The roof terrace is so cool; such a great view of the Eiffel Tower, Scaré Couer and the cemetery park. The location makes it easy to get around the city using the metro. There are lots of great restaurant around like Pojo and Vermillon.

We stayed for 8 nights, the room was cleaned once, when we asked to take the trash out of the room, they said to take it yourself, because the cleaners are in a hurry. The hotel elevator was broken for half of our stay. After room cleaning, 4 small towels were left in our room, no large towels were left, even though they were there previosly.
The bed was very comfortable, good location, near metro stations.

Room was a little noisy, especially in the mornings during the weekday.
Excellent location, very close to 2 metro stations and a short walk away from the Montmartre neighbourhood. The rooms were really nice and well furnished. I really can't thank enough the staff; I think we saw 4 or 5 different members of staff and all were really super friendly and helpful . A great stay!

The only thing missing from the apartment they gave me is a washing machine.
The apartment had everything you need to be comfortable. It wasn't anything luxurious, but more than enough considering that Paris is an expensive city and that the location is really good thanks to having two metro stations very close.

Strange that toilet is not in the bathroom.
Great location, free coffee & tea was a great idea. Staff were fantastic, so helpful & friendly. Little kitchenette was perfect although plates did not fit in the small dishwasher. Not really a problem but found it funny!

Enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for breakfast. Location was perfect for the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre. Loved the top terrace and the seating areas, the views were great. Really useful having cooking facilities, fridge and dishwasher. Local supermarket G20 only a short walk away as was a local boulangerie.

Citadines is in a great location close to night-life of moulin rouge area. But the room was very quiet and comfortable. Check in was easy. We didn't use the kitchen but there was all equipment you need.

Beds were not super comfy. No shampoo. Rooms are not very well noise isolated.

It would have been nice if breakfast was included, but that's a minor point
