Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesNo "Do Not Disturb" signs for the door. We'd prefer to have the option not to have our room cleaned everyday. A mini fridge would have made this hotel perfect. No aircon for summer months.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff - all of them! Gave us an upgraded room for our long stay. Very clean rooms and bathroom. Location was very close to Metro, grocery stores, and restaurants. Quiet and safe street. The in-room and in-bathroom heaters work well for the cold weather.

UkraineAmazing friendly and great staff. We arrived late at night after a long journey, we were greeted with kind words and humor, and our mood immediately improved!😊😊 The rooms are cleaned every day, the hotel is clean and comfortable. There is a kettle and tea in the room. The location of the hotel is excellent from the Charonne metro station, just a 2-minute walk. I liked that there are many restaurants and bakeries nearby. This area seemed safe and good to me. You can have breakfast at the hotel for 13 euros (croissants, boiled eggs, cheese, tea, coffee, sweets...) I had breakfast at the hotel for the first three days. But I lacked cooked food and some vegetables, so I found breakfast in restaurants near the hotel. I love this place. I will be happy to return to this hotel on my next visit to Paris

United KingdomThe shower was poor and the rooms are very clinical. But in fairness, you know this when booking and it's very clean and the rooms are spacious.
It's a great place to stay if you're looking for something cheap, in a perfectly fine location and with a comfy enough bed to sleep in. The shower is pretty poor - always a bug bear of mine - but we needed something at good value as we were only in Paris for a night and wanted to spend our money on a good meal. Perfect place for a couple of people to crash.

RomaniaSome minor scratches in the bath tub and an infiltration spot on the wall show the hotel oldness, can be repaired/eliminated. Some vegetables at the breakfast would be appreciated.
Hotel is very close to the Charonne metro station, Carrefour city shop at the corner, many bakeries for any type of breakfast or a snack, many restaurants, very close (10 min walk) to Nation station (main point of transfer for metro, RER -also for Disneyland, bus for airport). The room was big enough for 2 people, quiet, with a very comfortable bed & 2 pillows each (for any preference), air heating for manual setting at your disposal (also in the bathroom) so it was exactly what we set as per our needs, water heating facilities for a tea/coffee (excellent when you came in after walking all day in a cold weather or just want to relax), very clean towels and sheets, bed is arranged daily, towels and sheets changed after 2 days, bathroom cleaned daily. The breakfast is acceptable, the place is nice and have a small terrace (looks nice but we didn't had a good weather to see it open).

United KingdomThere was a small stain on one of the bed sheets. The wooden furniture is chipping and coming apart. Could do with another socket next to the bed. There is no ‘do not disturb’ sign to hang on the door, so beds are made every day whether you like it or not. There is a large hole behind the toilet at the bottom, which could do with some repair. There was no plug for the bath. The hotel in general could do with a bit of an upgrade.
The location is superb. It’s very close to the metro station Charonne. There is a supermarket around the corner and a couple of bakeries as well. The hotel itself looks very simple from the outside and inside. Checking in is very easy to do and you’ll get a keycard to use. The room (101) itself is spacious enough for 2 people, has 2 single beds, coffee/tea making facilities, a wardrobe, towels and linen, a safe, a suitcase stand and a bath with a shower. Even though the room is on the street side, there is not a lot of noise except for sometimes you can hear the rubbish trucks outside, but that doesn’t last that long and is not that annoying. The beds are made every day, wether you like it or not (which is a good and a bad thing, that’s why I mentioned it for both). Towels are changed when you leave them in the bath. If you don’t want/need them changed, just hang them up on the hook.
