How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Rooms and exterior could do with an update. But in hand we're told.
Very convenient position. No extra fee for dogs. Under new management and improvements are in hand. The restaurant was great.

As you pulled up to park it looked untidy, when you entered the hotel everything was good.
Comfortable clean accomodation with restaurant and reasonable breakfast.

To be picky, the decor in the bedroom was not to my husbands taste, but I loved it! it was dark, but unusual and perfectly clean.
Dont be fooled by the outside appearance it doesnt do justice to the inside, Paul and his staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the breakfast was varied and plentiful, overall a very nice stay

The hotel is sited on an industrial estate and is shabby from the outside.
The staff were friendly and chatty even though just 2 of them were multi tasking reception and food service. The restaurant was open 7-9. Good value dinner, busy with nice atmosphere. Green area to walk dog outside and room had everything I needed and was clean. Good value and fine for a stop over. Definitely not an exec Hotel but you get what you pay for.

Shower over the bath not good. Attachment seemed to be broken. No cups/glasses in the bedroom which isn’t helpful if you have pills to take. Only one thin pillow each, not enough.
Very friendly. Good ambience. Basic food but good. Breakfast very well organised and easy to access everything. Wide choice of teas. Bed comfy.

The shower head was a little tired and old and we did have a problem with the drainage in our room when we arrived but this was quickly resolved by the staff.
Staff were really friendly, room was clean and tidy and location is right next to Republic Corner in Poitiers which is ideal! Very comfortable stay very few minor faults.

The room was so hot and the hotel a little run down ( net curtains definitely need replacing which would enhance your rooms appearance)

No tea making facilities. Plastic shower curtain. Room could have done with a refurb.
Convenient for our journey. Accepted dogs. Quirky hotel. Had a meal in the restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. All the staff were very polite and welcoming. Nice and warm. Again, the food alone was worth staying at the hotel for.

Very poor pillows on bed, shower head wouldn’t stay in the holder ( after a long drive it’s nice to have a good shower)
Good location just off the motorway, was just an overnight stop travelling back to uk. Good price , good breakfast and lots of takeaways nearby.

My pet hate stained toilets and fixtures that should be checked shower and soap dishes
The hotel had a restaurant bar and plenty of parking. First I.pressiond where very good reception where helpful and pleasant there is a five euro charge for dog which is fine. The room was comfortable and well laid out the bathroom was OK but stains In the toilet rusty fixtures and a shower head that slid in pipe and couldn't be tightened where minor gripes. In all a pleasant comfortable place and for the price it was fine. Would I book again yes

Water/ showers problem in the morning. New owners. Manager Paul was get apologetic and tried to sort it out.
Good location and parking outside. Very good dinner in their bistro. Hotel is dog friendly.
