A/C wasn’t turned on the first night, so we had to sleep with the windows open, as it was quite hot. However, it was very noisy with the windows open and we hardly slept. Someone must have complained, as it worked the second night and we had a much better sleep. There seemed to be a lack of staff for the bar as it was quite slow in service, and at times, we couldn’t find anyone to serve us. Although it’s opposite a lovely church in a pedestrian area, it was noisy at night and we were approached by a rather unsavoury character asking for money while we sat outside the bar and noticed him harassing other customers the following night. I know this would be hard to monitor, but just be wary if you sit outside in the evening to have a drink. It is also a lot further to the old town than I expected, although very close to the pedestrian shopping area.

I wish breakfast would have had a few more fruit and veggie options. There were a lot of cold cuts, and the spread was very beautiful (plenty of pastries and jams), but I felt ever so slightly limited in the fruit/veggie category. Absolutely loved that I could boil my own eggs though - that was a true highlight!

The staff was so exceptionally friendly - giving us a map with their personal highlights of Lyon that we had to see in our 2 day stay, pointing us to the rentable bikes throughout the city that we could take advantage of, and making sure that when my husband had an injury that was flaring up, we were provided with plenty of ice and reassured that they would call excellent doctors for us if we wanted.

Staff was fantastic. Very helpful and pleasant. Location was perfect. Two blocks from a very nice street with shops and restaurants. River (great place to go for a nice run) was also a quick walk away. When we arrived (Wednesday) there was a nice small farmers market a few blocks away - mostly dairy, bread and vegetables.

All was fine, just found our room very hot and when we asked if AC was working told it was, so then advised to open window which was fine however old hear noise from street at times.

A beautiful boutique property with well-blended elements of history and modernity. A great use of a small space in the rooms. Wonderful staff. Great location.

Great location, attractive hotel. The concierge was very helpful in getting a dinner reservation at the last minute. Boulangerie and a market are within a block.

Nothing about the property. However we were told on two seperate occasions that breakfast was included with our room. When we checked out we found we had been charged for it. When we queried it we were told we must have misunderstood ??? Not a big deal but leaves a bad taste in your mouth

The property is in a good location and overlooks an abbey that was established over a 1000 years ago (hence the name) It has obviously only been renovated fairly recently and the fit out is lovely Although the rooms are fairly small, they are very well appointed and they have all the amenities you need. The property is very well maintained and the rooms were very clean and tidy

The stay was perfect for most part, but the plumbing was a little noisy at night.

The hotel was spotless and quite comfortable. The breakfast options weren't that mant but still everything was delicious. All in all, it was a comfortable stay and I definitely would return.
