No breakfast. (maybe due to ongoing works). Bathroom area / doors not shutting properly. Hotel under renovation. If neighbours are noisy, speak loud on the phone, you can hear them. First room smelled very badly of cigarette.

Bedding was comfortable and room clean. Very close to both Gare de Lyon and Gare de l'Est. Bakery, restaurants and supermarket very close by. Small lift available to go upstairs. Night staff very friendly and helpful to all.

No privacy, the walls are not sufficiently insulated. You can hear everything going on in the other rooms. The linen is not clean and the toilets are not very spacious.

The room had a musty irritating smell, the floor was squeaking and sinking, bathroom sink space so small and tight one needs to be careful not to hit head over the shelf, toilet paper was of cheap quality; towels smelled poorly sanitized and old, tv didn’t work, no lift from street level to reception area, reception desk was dark and dingy looking, lift was so small old fashioned, hallways were so narrow, dark, smelly with old frayed dirty looking rug, the door lock was so flimsy it felt unsecured,the walls were so thin,we could hear the next room. Overall, the place seemed like a fire hazard and so old, that I couldn’t sleep in fear of a fire breaking out i the middle of the night or the building suddenly collapsing in my sleep

I was physically attacked with injury in the corridor of my room area due to a big mistake of frontdesk assigning my room next to dangerous guests room with police order of arrest. The hotel and BOOKING.COM has not taken any kind of responsability to compensate and care about all damages caused by their unacceptable service.

Old building, some areas dirty with construction and renovation works going on, lift not working, very thin walls and doors not isolation properly from noises, very small rooms and bathrooms. no doors with peephole, dark corridors without permanent lights, no smoke detectors, no fire extinguishers, no phone in the room, no lock from inside door.

When I stay in Paris and need to pay personally I stay here. Normally I need to jump on a train and this is within a "stones throw" of the station. It is not flash but if you get a room facing the station you can spend the entire night watching the world go by - which is exactly what I do. The property is secure with 24 hour front desk and no way in without going past these guys.
