How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our room was on the fifth floor and the walls were not straight up so it was a little bit uncomfortable walking in the room and bathroom. We had to be careful to not hit our heads.
The location was great, close to the train station and restaurants. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Employees were kind and friendly.

They did not change the bathrobes, although they cleaned the rooms every day throughout the stay.
I like the services, they were so friendly, and the location was amazing.

Our room was unfortunately quite small.
Very friendly staff, super comfortable beds, and nice bathroom. We were able to extend our stay quite spontaneously without any issues. Room service was also very good and friendly. The hotel is located in a quite vibrant neighbourhood with a lot of bars, cafés, shops and restaurants right arounds the corner. Metro stations are also very close by so getting around was very easy.

Property was in a very central location very close to lots of nice cafes. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. It was great value for money. Would recommend

The location of the Hotel is excellent. The staff was very kind, and they delivered what they promissed! Me and my wife stayed in a Superior room, an the space was great! My 2 sons stayed in a Standard one, and the space was minimal.

It's realy quite low. If you're tall you wont likt this room. There's no shower cabin and we had to sit in the bath with the shower head. Bed is not realy big and you cant stand up getting out on one side. They could move the beds around to work around this problem because of the ample floor space.
We had a family room where the 'MBR' is the main room and the 'kids' room is separate from that. Rooms and bathroom were clean and have enough floorspace. 'Floorspace', because about half of it is not usable because of the low, sloped roof. Its relative quiet except for the aircon unit and the elevator motor in the room next our room. Staff is very friendly and location is good close to several Metro lines. Neigborhood is also very relaxing but if you bring young children do avoid the sex/massage shops close by.

The beds were very hard and the location is a little far from some of the main Paris attractions. Close to a metro stop though.
Very easy to get to from the train station. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Close to an open air market. We were happy to find a hotel with a "family room" option with two sleeping areas for kids and adults.

A little small and you have to return your key upon leaving for the day, but hotel staff was phenomenal and very lovely.
Finding a hotel in a good location, with air conditioning was a game changer for us! Yes, the rooms are small but for a party of 2 this shouldn’t be an issue if you’re out and about!

It was a little hard getting around the end of the beds. Also it was hard to avoid splashing some water from the shower on the floor, but otherwise, the bathroom was good.
The hotel is very close to the Montparnasse station as well as a number of restaurants and cafes. Also very close to a metro station and within walking distance of Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon and Notre Dame. Breakfast was very good. The staff was very friendly.

We were given one of the 5th floor rooms that are really small, and the only view you have is up to the sky as there's only a small roof window that lets in little to no light.
The location is great, walking distance to all the main attractions, and lots of restaurants and nice terraces in the area.
