The staff, location and amenities of this 17thC gem were wonderful. I would be delighted to stay there again. The Hotel des Deux Îles is a delight!

The welcome at reception was wonderful. The room was small but the bed was large, (this is the right way around!) Also the bathroom was spacious and well equipped with good bathroom products and fluffy the towels. A kettle in the room with large enough mugs was very welcome. A few more tea bags would have been nice.

The hotel was lovely, and the location could not have been better. I was traveling with my daughter to celebrate her 16th birthday, and we loved our stay. The room was comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was larger and more modern than expected. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. We would definitely stay here again!

I have never been in a 3-star hotel with such a chic level! A sweet girl Angelica met us. The room was not ready, we arrived early in the morning. We walked around the island, silence, peace, shops, restaurants. When we returned to the hotel, our things were waiting for us already in the room, on the bed there was a postcard signed by Angelica and a prize from her. It's so sweet and nice!!!! Thank you very much for your attention and care! The room with a large window is like a small balcony, everything is new, chic huge soft towels, a kettle, tea,coffee.Breakfast was excellent!Personally prepared from the menu!It's so unusual!You feel like a queen! A chic, homely hotel in which you want to return again and again!!!

Staff were exceptional. Location was excellent. Would definitely stay again! The location on the Iles de Saint Louis was quiet at night. During the day shops, cafes, and several Paris landmarks are within a short walking distance.

Great location. Right in the middle of Paris. The hotel is quirky but really lovely. The staff are wonderful and helpful. The small bar is great.

Watch your head if you are a little tall as the corridors don't cater to this. There is plenty of signage though. There seemed to be afternoon tea type foods in the foyer however we weren't told if this applied to us, so we didn't touch it. We slept with the window opened on the first night however quickly learnt that mosquitoes were rampant.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The ambiance of the hotel was what I was hoping for and had the charm I anticipated. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. I especially liked the window and how we could see out into the alley when opened. Falling asleep to the soft buzz of night life was lovely and soothing. There was a lift, so you didn't have to lug the bags up the narrow staircase.

Please make sure you are given the room that you book. We booked a Superior Double and were given a much inferior room. Unfortunately not being experienced travellers, and having booked months ago, we didn't realise until we got home and checked the website and discovered our room looked suspiciously like The Mini. We now feel we were conned and the hotel will not admit fault or offer any recompense. When challenged they first said the room we had was a Classic Double and then when we challenged that, changed and said it was a Superior Double. If it was, do not believe the website, there are no rooms with seating areas, expresso machines etc.

Breakfast was amazing and good value compared to other places locally. Some of the best pain au chocolat I have ever had. Location ideal too, quiet area but sites easily accessible.

If you have a couple of bags per person, it could be a little tight in the room. But I guess that’s understandable given the location and the age of the building.
