Lack of heating to bedroom and potential trip hazard from bedroom into bathroom.

Excellent breakfast. Most unusual and interesting building. Very conveniently located.

Arthur is so welcoming to his oasis behind the huge, secure gates on the quiet rue des Tailles near the centre of Mortagne au Perche.

Eclectic experience and restful end to a long tour from Southern France (despite a ferry delay!)

We liked the unusual restful overnight experience, but found initial arrival difficult as the entry bell was small and high and the doorlock at night difficult to manage, but apparently changes restricted without agreement form historic source

Breakfast excellent and comfortable room but no lock. This is a conversion of an old mansion which has clearly given the owner great pleasure and he kindly showed us the elegant rooms he has finished. only 2 visitors on that day No restaurant on site, but within the beautiful historic town of Mortagne-au-Perche a quality restaurant was recommended by the owner a short walk away

It was very individual and artistic with beautiful architecture. Hidden behind a large door on a small street it was wonderful once you entered the courtyard to see the house.

centrally located. Hosts were friendly and informative and could not have been more helpful. House is very FRENCH, faded elegance, so interesting and many antique items and furniture. Certainly a house of much character. ,

The en suite bathroom was not of adequate standard and there was an unsafe step. The decor in the room was tired. There were no tea making facilities in the room.

The breakfast was wonderful, the best we had anywhere. The house was historically and culturally interesting but not specially comfortable Our hostess was very considerate

The hotel is in an historically interesting building full of bric a brac and antiques, all of which are interesting but underneath all of that it's tatty and in need of doing up. It's dusty with peeling paint and lacking the accoutrements in the room that a pricey hotel offers. No drinking glass, only one towel, no wifi, no basin plug, cheap toilet paper, no wardrobe or hangers. I paid too much not to have these things.

The breakfast was superior in every way, content, quality and presentation. It was served in an elegant dining room.
