Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South AfricaSome additional information on how to use the dishwasher and internal heating would have been helpful. Minor issues include not having a dishcloth, enough toilet paper, dishwashing detergent etc but this was not a problem as the supermarket is just around the corner
All possible amenities that could be required are provided. Excellent location. Finishing in apartment of high quality. Beautiful large windows

GermanyIn the morning you can have a feeling that you've fell asleep somewhere outside (because of lots of noise). + Never managed to set up the dishwasher and DIFY - the company that manages the apartment was not particularly helpful. Several times they asked me to send pictures through booking.com and I answered several times that it's not possible through booking.com and I asked to provide other means of communication. We ended up washing the dishes ourselves
I liked the flat and especially the spacious feeling. Everything clean and ready. We loved the apartment and it felt naturally to walk around Lyon and pop into apartment a couple of times per day for resting

AustraliaThe room got quite hot at night and we couldn’t locate any cooling, only heating so opening windows to the noisy street was the only option. The above apartment is also quite noisy as the floorboards are very creaky.
Beautiful light filled apartment with high ceilings and a spacious layout. Nice and clean and in a good location for walking where needed or the metro close by. Comfortable bed and facilities with great communication from the host with easy instructions for entering.

LithuaniaDue to the fairly central location it can be noisy at times, consider earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
Excellent location in Lyon, close to bus lines that can take you to the train station (Gare Part Dieu) and a metro line going towards the center. The distance is otherwise perefectly walkable. Plenty of shops and cafes around, whether you decide to dine in or out. Apartment is large and spacious, had a bedroom with a queen bed and a foldable sofa in the living room as far as I could tell. Did not lack a single amenity that I could think of. Overall an enjoyable city stay!
