Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI know it has to be a compostable toilet in the treehouse but the bag broke once so giving more bags and suggesting double bagging would be helpful and biodegradable wipes for hygiene. Some glasses and plates to use if self catering would be good too. Hooks on the entrance wall to hang coats/towels would be helpful as space is confined.
Stunning site back to nature with an eco ethos which we love. The treehouses were quirky each one unique and far enough apart to give you complete privacy. The pool and communal areas are very well thought out and beautifully decorated. Lovely charcuterie board and drinks at bar. Beautiful woodland. Games Tim was a lovely addition.

United KingdomIt would have been helpful to have been informed beforehand that we needed to reserve a basket for dinner before arrival, so good to remember if you're booking. Also, as a suggestion, it would be good if you could hire pillows & blankets. We stayed in a "bulles" tent, which was an incredible experience, but we couldn't bring pillows as we were on a motorbike & so we were using clothing as a pillow & it would have been so much more comfortable if we could have had pillows. Having said that, we had the best experience & the massage with Silvia the next day really helped!!
It was an incredible & magical experience in beautiful, natural surroundings. My husband & I had the best time. Helped by blue, clear skies, which meant sparkling stars once it got dark. ✨️ It's a place to go to get away from the madness of the world, but not a place if you don't love pure nature & simplicity!

United KingdomOur chalet was barely the size of a dog kennel, which I wasn’t aware of when I booked (all the other chalets look spacious, including two very new looking and very upmarket ‘treehouses’ (actually on stilts). Our host seemed rather disorganized, so we were kept waiting and guessing for things we requested. The mozzy net did turn up and was a life saver as the mosquitoes were numerous and hungry, but I don’t think we should have needed to ask for it. Breakfast was VERY late (but good). We had quite a distance to cycle that day so we’re anxious to get started.
This ex farm has been redeveloped for green tourism, and the wooded, gently managed setting is delightful. There’s plenty of common room area, and a fantastic swimming pool and deck. Breakfast brought to your chalet by electric golf cart in a basket is a nice feature.

NetherlandsPrice/quality ratio is really high, not worth the money. We paid 280 euro per night for a family of 4, including breakfast. The yurt is pretty, but is small and has no amenities. Having no water or electricity was not a big problem for us, but as an accommodation that is advertised as a glamping perfect for families on their own site, we found it severely lacking on other parts: Kids need food, and there were no cutlery, plates, glasses or any means to prepare food or drinks, no communal fridge. No means to wash the plates we had brought ourselves (and we got some plates from them later), except in the shared bathroom sink. There was a dry toilet, but situated right next to our beds in the tent. The yurt was very small for four, and no storage space to put our things. Worse was the reaction of the owner when we explained all this in an email. We explained to the owner that with "glamping" we'd expect a combination of camping -i.g. being able to prep food yourself- with a bit more luxury, comparable to what they offer in some of their other accommodations. We felt mislead by their website as they explained they were more of an ecolodge than a glamping. We were quite taken aback by their condescending reaction stating that the mismatch was our own fault, since we were clearly looking for the type of luxury camping that offers slides, 'conviviality' and mobile homes. Even though the things we found lacking were available in their other accommodations. They blamed us and blamed Booking, but when we pointed out that their own website also stated it was perfect as a 'glamping for families' and not as an 'ecolodge', they stopped responding. Very rude.
The location is gorgeous and secluded in full nature. A beautiful get away. There was a train passing by every half hour or so, but that didn't really bother us. I would've preferred the electrical fence to be further away from our accommodation so it would give the kids space to enjoy the field, now we were separated from it. We got breakfast delivered to our door every morning, with fresh coffee, croissants, baguettes and marmelade. I did buy some yogurts myself, because that is how I prefer my breakfast, but it was nice to have breakfast in bed. The swimming pool is centrally located and beautifully made of wood. For the kids there were limited hours that they could access the pool, reserving most time until 14.00 (bar one hour) for adults or women. Which is good if you're an adult, but too bad if you're not. The yurt is beautifully decorated. Staff on site is very friendly.
