How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

A very wonderful place with love wherever you look, making every moment feel special. The gorgeous rooms make you feel like you're living in a castle, while the fabulous gardens and pools add to the luxurious experience. Breakfast, meticulously prepared by the owners, was perfect in every detail—I promised to come back!

This was by far the most wonderful B&B that i have stayed in. Peter and Serge are incredible hosts - from the delicious homemade breakfast to the comfortable accommodations and great recommendations - they go above and beyond to help you enjoy your time with them. Great location on the Dordogne near a great bakery, farm stands and grocery store. Very enjoyable all round!

The place is beautiful! The only drawback is that it was unusually hot and there is no air conditioning! But as I’ve learned the entire region doesn’t really have air conditioning.

The only thing we didn't like was having to leave!
We loved everything. The beautiful house and gardens (definitely very high on our best of the best list), the friendliness, impeccable taste and all round good nature of Peter and Serge, who are wonderful and engaging hosts. Not forgetting the plancha (we want one!) and the swimming pool and terrace.

Everything! - first of all: the hosts are lovey. They give you all kind of tips what to do in the area. They have business cards for everything ;) They do everything they can to make sure you have a great time. They make the place extra wonderful. - the domaine: it’s a beautiful place. The swimming pool is nice. There is a fridge you can use and there is even a barbecue. The garden have several spots where you can just sit and drink some wine (or enjoy the lovely breakfast…). The room was beautiful en very clean. The hosts have a great taste when it comes to decor. - yup, the breakfast: fresh orange juice, pancakes, croissants, baguettes, delicious French cheeses, coffee, yoghurt, home made jams and honey and eggs (doesn’t matter how you like them: boiled, scrambled with smoked salmon !!, omelette with vegetables…) You will not be short of anything here. And everything is just so delicious. In short: we stayed 6 days and had a fantastic time, with lovely hosts, in a gorgeous domaine in a beautiful area. We highly recommend this place :)

The most amazing hosts, they could not do more for us during our stay. Organised food and activities for us and gifted us the most yummy homemade honey and jams too. Our room was massive, very well equipped and such a comfy bed. The gardens are stunning with a large pool, lots of seating areas with beautiful views. We would love to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thank you so much for making our stay so special!

We loved so much about this stay and the owners, Peter & Serge. The house itself is gorgeous, close to beautiful little towns but very quiet and peaceful. There are only a few rooms so you feel very at home, our room was huge, beautifully decorated and a good bathroom. Breakfast was especially lovely - served in the garden, fresh juice, pastries, delicious hot breakfast 🍳 The pool is also great, with an honesty bar and everything you might need in case you’ve forgotten anything (sun cream etc) which was so handy. Peter and Serge were so delightful throughout our stay and it was lovely getting to know them during our stay. They are great hosts and even went above and beyond to return an item I left behind to the UK. I would recommend this hotel to any person, couple or family visiting the area and would love to go back! Thank you ❤️

The location, the hosts and the breakfast were all brilliant! The garden was beautiful with a lovely pool. The room was comfortable and very clean and breakfast in the garden every morning was great. The hosts could not have been more kind and attentive! We were sad to leave such a wonderful, peaceful place!

Everything was amazing - we especially appriciated the hospitality of the hosts, helping out with recommendations and checking in on us but still giving a great privacy. Also the garden and the house and its interiors was lovely!

Beautifully appointed rooms with good shower facilities. The delicious breakfasts will set you up for the whole day of touring the delights of this region. Really enjoyed using the pool. Appreciated the touring tips and restaurant recommendations too by the lovely hosts. We highly recommend this property if you are looking for a peaceful haven.
