Very good hotel with helpful staff. The location is very beautiful, you wake up to amazing views. Restaurant is very good, but you need to book in advance. Rooms are spacious and clean. Views are amazing!

This is really a great hotel. The area is gorgeous, the views are gorgeous, the pool is fantastic, the spa is very nice! We had the outside pool, inside spa (a sauna, hammam and small inside pool) all to ourselves at around 8 PM. Just a great atmosphere. The room was nice and clean. Large walk-in shower. The beds were very comfortable and not too soft. We had a nice morning coffee on the terrace with the views. People were kind. I just really loved this hotel!

GermanyWe had early reservation for dinner, 7 PM; which probably is very early, but nobody said anything against this during the reservation. Being at the restaurant it was a little challenging to get the waiters attention and being able to order. Our assumption was that they had a bigger event parallel to the normal restaurant. Waiting 25 minutes between the first Hello and receiving menus to being able to order was a little bit too long. At the end however, this to emphasize, we had some nice service and all together the restaurant experience was OK. Breakfast for 16 Euro is a little bit too expensive for what it has to offer, but also here, this rather is a "could be done better" than a really complaint. TV does not offer a single international chanal, for a hotel of this classification this is a necessity!
This is a great hotel, probably very nice to stay in the summer or spring time. The rooms are very nice, well equiped with a good bed. The qualtiy of food and breakfast is good. Staff at reception was exceptional nice, since my French isn't fluent, I appreciate having an English speaking person at reception. Very important to us was secured and sufficient parking, this was excellent!

GermanyVery rude staff. We were very rudely turned away in the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation. We had only just arrived. The restaurant was empty. There are no other restaurant options in the village. A nice member of staff at the bar in the hotel had noticed and helped us get a table but we were not served by the waiters in the restaurant so he looked after us, set the table and took our order. A very unpleasant stay.

GermanyHere is the caveat: After our stay, on the 2nd of January 2023 I was asked by the clerk to swipe my card again for room charges. Soon after I saw a push message on my smart phone telling me that my card was charged with 230,50 Euros for two rooms with breakfast. I informed the clerk about the additional, unfounded charge of 230,50 EUR since I prepared via booking.com and he apologized and took my IBAN, promising the money would be wired back in within two weeks. That never happened, unfortunately. An Email to Domaine De Saint Clair, sent on the 19th of January 2023, explaining the situation above, also stayed unanswered as of today (13. Feb 2023) Fraud is a harsh word and I do not want to call it out here (I agreed to get my credit card swiped again on checkout), but for sure I wish for better customer communication and care from a hotel.
On a road trip back from northern Spain to Germany on the 1st of January 2023 I decided to book 2 rooms in the Domaine De Saint Clair for my wife my daughter and myself via booking.com and payed in advance via the booking.com portal, the advance payment was 166,43 EUR for two rooms with breakfast. . All was just meant to give us a high quality sleep over&breakfast on our road trip back to Germany. Before I start off and to be fair: The hotel itself, that needs to be said, is a clean, nicely maintained property with a decent breakfast and friendly staff.
