How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Fabulous neighborhood location with plentiful amounts of restaurants, boutiques, parks, and museums. A very comfortable room, bed size, bathroom. The design is extraordinary throughout.

Having to walk up a small spiral flight of stairs after taking elevator to third floor and going through multiple doors was a bit inconvenient and felt like a bit of a maze but if you don’t mind that, it should be fine. One other inconvenience was the lack of power outlets available from our particular room.
Unique decor and a bit more room to move around than expected. Shower pressure was great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were excellent, they went above and beyond. The room was so unique and interesting, plus there was plenty of space. We also really enjoyed exploring the area, I preferred staying here much more than previous visits to Paris where I stayed in much more tourist-y parts of town.

The location is slightly on the edge of Le Marais. It is in the middle of many metro stations, but not really close to any of them.
The location in Le Marais is very nice. The staff was excellent -- very nice and helpful. The decor was exceptional. And the breakfast was really nice -- especially liked the coffee!

Nothing it was everything and more!
Amazing, Fabulous, Opulent, Perfect! A wonderful start to our French roadtrip. The decor of the room was superb. Luc and Remi were so attentive and provided an excellent service answering questions. We were recommended a wonderful restaurant Goul and they helped to book our River Seine cruise. The continental breakfast was a lovely start to each day. A wonderful stay in a great small luxury hotel.

Wi fi was probably average in the rooms, often dropping out And the foyer wasn’t air conditioned or it wasn’t working too well. Noticeable only cause of the constant heat at the time. Room air con was excellent though.
The very quirky & retro hotel design was good, location good & staff very helpful & efficient It didn’t feel like a hotel, more like a home, so it gave off a good vibe, breakfast good too, served by always cheery staff

Location is great but metro station are approximately 10 minutes walk. We didn’t mind the walls but it should be known for guests who prefer not. Also, on Saturday night we heard the locals’ parties though our window. Even though, I would like to conclude that these are small things and the overall experience was still excellent!
Room and bathroom are clean and much larger than European standard. There was definitely enough space. A/C worked excellent. Staff is very friendly and assisted us with every request. We loved the location and area of the hotel. Excellent overall experience!!

The staff. I was supposed to meet my sister in Corsica but she tested positive for Covid and couldn't travel for a few days. I needed to extend my stay at this hotel but wasn't sure how long I'd need the room. The staff watched for a cancellation and juggled rooms so that I could stay in the same room for several extra days. It took so much stress away! All the staff were great and seemed to truly enjoy being helpful. Restaurant and sightseeing recommendations were good. I loved the location and breakfast. Coming back after a day of sightseeing and crowds to the honesty bar was a treat.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I only wish I could've stayed more than one night!
A wonderful, last minute unplanned stay ( thanks to Air France canceling my flight back to the US where I live). I jumped at the opportunity to stay here at Le Petit Moulin. It was beyond wonderful! The front desk staff were so professional and welcoming ( Rémi) and upon arrival I found that I had been upgraded to a bigger room - so much character and creative flair here ( Christian Lacroix interiors). Location is perfect for walking pretty much everywhere. It is definitely a charming hotel and probably wouldn't suit someone who wants the more stereotypical corporate hotel. The character of the interior is tremendous and the history one learns about this hotel is pretty epic( one of the earliest bakeries in the city to then be converted to a hotel, if not THE first bakery in Paris which was frequented by Victor Hugo)
