the parking is very small and a few blocks aways from the hotel, but it works and you can park in front the hotel temporarily if needed.

everything was very clean, the beds were confortables, there were enough pillows und towels. the Hotel staff was very friendly and helped us with all we needed. very good location.

The parking: quite some distance from the hotel and extremely small - it was a real challenge to park our car and actually manage to get out of it. I think this should have been specified when we requested to book parking,

The hotel is very nice and with a very worm atmosphere. The room although quite small for 4 people was comfortable and very clean and the most comfortable bed! helpful staff and very good breakfast.

The room is small (I wonder how much smaller the single would have been!), but fine as I don’t spend much time in hotel rooms anyway. There is no kettle or fridge. The bathroom was tiny, no joke, it was barely bigger than an aeroplane toilet! Taller and bigger people will struggle. I always travel with earplugs and they were useful as sometimes noise carries from hallway / other rooms / road. You have to check in first to get access to the parking space, and they say you can use their delivery space when you check in... except it was blocked off and had a motorbike in it when I arrived. Luckily there was a free space down the road. This sounds like I’m complaining a lot, but I’m not... overall if you come prepared, this is a pleasant stay and I would book again.

This hotel is well located and is excellent value for money. Parking is cheap (16 € per day) for the city centre and it is a big plus of this hotel. Remember you MUST book this though. On street parking is free between 19:00-9:00 if you get stuck. I think I got an upgraded room as I booked a single and got a double instead (room 25). Room is air conditioned which is nice during August. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Poor noise isolation between the rooms and the corridor. Breakfast was somewhat pricey for the rather limited selection (but still tasty!). I also wish it had been served longer than 9.30 AM on weekends. The routine of leaving your key at the reception every time you go out was a bit cumbersome, but I appreciated having a “real” room key.

Great location just around the corner from Perrache and within walking distance to the rest of Presqu’île and Vieux Lyon. Friendly staff. Air conditioning worked fine but it was nice to be able to open the room window too.

The only problem was the cleaning ladies came early. On the plus side, the rooms were very clean. You just have to make sure to get out of the room early. Also, I do not recommend the breakfast - it would be more worthwhile to hop into town for breakfast.

Easy to find from Via Rhona - a key factor for first time visitors to Lyon. They especially welcome cyclists with a free cold drink on arrival and more importantly - a free laundry service! Staff friendly, breakfast good, secure bike space. Hotel Simplon is also close to Gare Perrache for train, tram, metro and bus services.

Room was a little small, and lacked a convenient bedside table - the only shelf or flat surface was on the other side of the room. So a bit difficult to lay down books and phone, etc, conveniently at night.

Very convenient location a few minutes' stroll from Perrache station in one direction and sights and restaurants of Presqu'Ile district easily accessible in the other; a pleasant twenty-minute walk to Vieux-Lyon, and metro station at Ampere round the corner. Really pleasant, quiet, comfortable lounge - a nice place to read. Good value. Has some individual character.

Good value. Hotel is well maintained and welcoming. Centrally located. Garage provision for my motorbike. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. I only stopped for one night en-Route to a different destination.
