Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaI was there for two weeks, and there were no croissants in the second week. Also, the first room door would hardly close and the wall was slightly damaged (probably due to a suitcase). The room is a bit small for the double bed and no space to put things (luckily I was in the room alone).
The hotel is right next to the tram stop, shop, restaurant, and gym, has a bistro on the ground floor. Breakfast is the French one where you boil the eggs yourself (if you have the time). Room was ok.

Poland- there was only one small window and because of the dark colors the room seems even smaller and claustrophobic, - the door lock got stuck sometimes.
- very close to tram station (located almost at the entrance) - easy way from and to airport / city centre, - comfortable beds, - various breakfast, - private, clean bathroom, - the windows blinds shielded from the light and noises at night.

FinlandMore of a hotel than a hostel, not exactly what I was expecting.
Friendly staff and super nice and comfortable room. Heavy curtains to give more privacy in the dorm. Breakfast was good.

CanadaI would call this hotel a pretty stylish vertically oriented hostel. Nice view from the upper floors, Tiny rooms, no single chair or table inside, just beds and washroom. Lobby and cafe on the ground floor. Convenient location: the tram station is just in front of it, with a nice square, cafes, food court on the other side. Built-in underground parking could be convenient also until I got trapped between its gates with my card not able to open either one, while nobody was answering the call.... No signs at the parking entrance. Little chances to get to the location using Google Maps. Most of the staff have no English.

GermanyIf you need an extra little bed for a kid, make sure to get a family room. We had a regular room which is too small to even put a little extra mattress in.
We really liked the possibility to stay in the café area in the ground floor (even after checking out), being able to get another coffe once in a while. I even managed to get a little nap on the sofa while my daughter was playing with the large choice of toys available. Breakfast was also very good! If everybody eats at the same time, it may take a little until everything is filled up again, but they do their best to do so fast. It's also good to be able to let the luggage in the luggage room between checkout and final departure.

United Kingdom- the corridor is exposed onto the outside of the building, motel style - under a flight path to Toulouse airport so it’s often noisy, make sure to bring earplugs - the lights aren’t very powerful
- clean rooms and bathrooms - plenty of space in the bunks - lockers for storage (make sure to bring your own lock) - privacy curtains - key cards for access to your room - friendly and helpful staff - right next to a tram stop heading into the city and other supermarkets/shops

United KingdomA couple of minor complaints: towels could be softer and access to the shower could be better designed.
The staff was very friendly and communicated in different languages. There are sofas and tables to work downstairs while having a coffee. It is close to the tram and bus stops and is located in a nice new city area. It is a very good environment for solo travellers.

IrelandOutside access and entry to the room. Reception staff members were not always receptively polite and helpful willingly. One was particularly rude. The black colour was oppressive in the room. Light switches for the main lights were not accessible from the bed.
Comfortable bed. I liked the blackout window shutter in the room, the darkness, didn't let morning light in. It was clean Reasonably priced Transport easy to the airport Local food hall was fantastic and nearby It was convenient to be able to have breakfast Baggage storage was helpful

GermanyHowever for a new building, sound insulation is really bad. The bedroom door opens directly onto the outside. We could hear the conversations of our room neighbours and passers-by on the street, not to mention the tramway and cars.
Very close to the airport and to facilities such as backery, restaurants and so on. The room was clean and the mattress comfortable.

United KingdomWe were slightly worried someone could come into our room as there was a lock which worked but as soon as we pressed down on the door handle from the inside it came unlocked and the door was open. I do believe, however, this is just because we were opening from the inside and people from outside couldn’t get in.
The property was very modern and quite fashionable. The room was perfect for what we were looking for with lamps, plug sockets and usb ports right above the bed for easy access. Drinks were also good price and very tasty. Staff were also accommodating to us despite us being unable to speak french. There is also a tram stop right outside the property which takes you to Arenes station at which there is a metro and you are able to go into the city or wherever you desire - great links.

BrazilI wish there was nothing, but the bar guy during the nights was so rude during my whole stay. Always with a mad face, speaking french with customers and not being polite. One day I decided to stay at the hostel working at the night and could stand him bossing people around and not being polite to customers.
Very good location, one of the best I had in many years traveling. Literally a tram station in the front door. The restaurant is also a very good point and the location close to many MANY other restaurants and supermarket it’s amazing

BoliviaSome of the staff had difficulty understanding English. I would have preferred to repeat what I said rather than not be understood. My room had a strong odor, which was very unpleasant. Fortunately, the room was cleaned the next day. It's advisable to bring a lock for the designated locker in the room. I'm uncertain whether I should have asked for one.
The young lady who handled my check-in was very warm and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, making it worthwhile to pay in advance. The building itself is beautiful, and while the lounge is comfortable for leisure, it may not be the best space for work. The room design was impressive, and my designated bed was very cozy.

CyprusIf you are staying in a dormitory like I did and looking for a hostel vibe place, this is not the one for it. Given it’s also a hotel, this makes sense.

CanadaRooms and showers are a bit small. I got stuck in the shower the first time for 10 minutes because I couldn't find how to open the door. It was very small.
Comfy bed, very good breakfast, lovely staff. I stayed in the female dorm the first time, and an individual room a second time. It's all a bit small but well thought through, very clean, in an interesting new area of Toulouse. The new "Halles de la Cartoucherie" offer great food options! It's more a hotel and the lobby also serves as a local community cafe/bar/restaurant than a hostel. Right next to the tram station and tracks. I could hear the tram noise a little, but not too much so it was fine.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel, particularly impressed by the design of the family room. It was not reasonably spacious but also beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere that made our stay quite comfortable. A significant convenience was the hotel's proximity to a tram station, making it incredibly easy to explore the surrounding areas.
