Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe outside doesn’t look very inviting. ( concrete ) . At times - insufficient staff members especially at breakfast.,

Amazing!!! Loved this hotel, we are coming back in August before our wedding with the whole family! Amazing location but also not too loud! great access to the tram right outside and walking distance from everything. SwitzerlandNavigating inside the hotel is not easy the first day due to the many lifts and the odd room numbering that make your way to your room a bit tortuous. We wished there was a fridge in our room (maybe we did not find it ?)
Comfortable room, spacious and very clean. very good restaurant with various high quality food at resonable prices. a good experience altogether! Conveniently situated in the city center, close to the shopping malls and streets packed with boutiques Ideal place to walk around the old town of Bordeaux and the old quarters. The Hotel design and its decoration make this hotel a nice place with lots of character! a place to remember !

GermanyPlease install some claps in the rooms for the wardrobe. This was the only thing we are missing.
The hotel is very close to the city center and was really magnificent in the room and the breakfast. The staff was all the time very friendly and helpful to us and our small dog too. The garage under the hotel is very close by an elevator.

IrelandThe only suggestion I would make would be to have more black tea options in the kitchenette area like English/Irish Breakfast tea.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely comfortable room with great coffee and nice quality toiletries provided. The location was also very good and very easy to get to from the airport. There’s a tram that takes you from the airport and stops by the hotel in less than 30mins. It’s just a short walk to the centre of town as well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

United StatesJust FYI. Parking exit is tricky. It’s ok during low season. It may become challenging in high season. There are two sinks on the bathroom. The one on the left is leaking water and it stains the counter underneath it. When you see water damage marks, it’s not a one-day issue. Not a big deal but it’s a leak. Kitchenette lacks of water for guests. Soft drinks are for kids :) In room has no slippers. Lacking Nespresso and tea ( it has a French press mug).
Having an underground gated parking is a plus. It’s a bit tight like most European parking spot but enough to fit a station wagon and standard SUV. Tram station is just outside the hotel for easy access around town. Supermarket, McDonalds/KFC nearby. After two min walk, you are facing Fine Art Museum and the old town neighborhood full of restaurants, cafés and boutiques etc. Location is very good - just outside the vibrant area but a stone throw away. The hotel exterior is not pretty but inside it’s clean, open, green, cozy and modern. Our corner deluxe room is spacious and quiet. Comfortable and clean. Roomy shower and yes a walk in closet. There is live music/singing during Sunday brunch (2/11/24). Bar is a good stop after a long walk around town but before sleep :) Staffs are enthusiastic and friendly ( lobby, bar, restaurant, front desk). Good credit to the hotel management as it’s a positive result of teamwork effort.

United KingdomPillows were a little too soft, but that is being really picky. The bed was really comfortable, and the room was exceptionally clean.
Amazing friendly reception on arrival. The lady was so helpful and accommodating, she upgraded the room as it was a special occasion, and gave complimentary chocolates. The kitchenette with free snacks was an excellent idea. The restaurant food was excellent quality, just the right amount, and a menu choice of 5 items on each course. Excellent wine menu too, with a full range of prices from cheap to expensive.

United KingdomI really cannot dredge up one false note in the overall experience. Perhaps the only downside is accessing the hotel by car and this has nothing to do with the hotel but everything to do with Bordeaux's one-way system and our SatNav not being up to date.
This is a very comfortable hotel and ticks all the right boxes from efficiency, friendliness and helpfulness of staff to well-appointed rooms and excellent beds. We had dinner in the hotel, the menu was very good, the food excellent as was the prompt service. Breakfast was also excellent. Throughout it all I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They were so enthusiastic and seemingly happy to be doing their work. The decor throughout the hotel was truly interesting - sometimes whimsical, sometimes quirky and at moments spectacular with lots of renewable materials used and very much a vibe of sustainability and awareness of green issues at all levels. Car parking in the basement was excellent and easily accessible, The hotel is just on the edge of the city centre with the cathedral only 7 minutes walk away.
