Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyHonestly nothing. Everything so far has been wonderful every time we've stayed.
We adore this Gite. The location is stunning - right in the old town of La Petite-Pierre (which is gorgeous). The rooms are well decorated and the beds are super comfy. We've stayed three times now (we use it as an overnight stop when visiting family in France) and we usually take a triple room as this is a suitable size for two adults and a baby. The owners are really helpful and kind and, in our experience, are quick to respond to messages and offer support when things go wrong (we had a mix-up with our Booking.com booking one time and Estelle very quickly helped us resolve everything). The breakfast is humble but delicious. What we love most about the property is the communal shared kitchen and dining area. It is perfect for us as a family as it means we can easily feed both ourselves and the baby and not have to depend on restaurants for evening meals. Plus, we can put the baby to bed and return downstairs (with the baby monitor, of course!) to enjoy a glass of wine and some card games while she sleeps. Saves us having to go to bed at 7pm or tiptoe around the room so as not to wake her! In the summer months the Biergarten is a definite plus (the food is lovely and the staff are great). There is also a large play-area at the top of the old town (a minute's walk from the Gite) that is perfect for allowing little ones some space to play before/after a long day of driving. Thank you Estelle, Frédéric and Lucie. We will come back again and again.

GermanyNice rooms in a small quiet village. The old church house was renovated into a few modern guesthouse rooms. Excellent breakfast with local and home made products. We also had dinner in the restaurant. When we were there they offered only a menu with two choices per course (45€). It was extremely tasty, very creative and in a nice atmosphere. House and restaurant are owned and managed by a very friendly and welcoming couple. Highly recommend.

BelgiumBreakfast options were limited, lacking hot food like eggs or pancakes but featuring local products. Dinner was somewhat pricey. Checkout became chaotic due to internet issues, resulting in a significant time loss. The room lacked water, and there was no coffee or tea maker.
Charming town with an attractive building, and the well-decorated spacious room added to the pleasant experience; dinner was also enjoyable.

RomaniaI don't even know how to start expressing the enthusiasm after staying in this place. First of all, the pictures do not do it justice. In real life, the place is much more beautiful than the pictures. The property is so beautifully designed and arranged and it's a mixture of very modern design with traditional/keeping it's origins. Beautiful! Spotless clean! There is also a common area on the ground floor, to hang out, and a fully equipped kitchen (with a big fridge). There is also a coffee machine and tea maker. In the area there aren't many options for grocery shopping, as the place is rather remote, so, make sure you come prepared in case you do not want to eat out. There are restaurants opened in the village center, in case the restaurant from the hotel is not opened. Oh, and the other shops in the village and around usually open around 10:00 (la boulagerie though, was opened around 06:00 or 07:00 - I cannot remember exactly as I was blinded by the tastiness of those amazing gorgeous products that I purchased from them, hehehehe). The breakfast was soooooo delicious. And the croissants....divine! There was also a huge range of local honey and local jams (all absolutely amazing). The bread was perfection as well. Another thing that I found amazing was the how the owner would switch from speaking French, to speaking English, to speaking German! There are plenty of things to do in and around this little gem of a village, so I would definitely return for a longer stay, to also go hiking around the area.

NetherlandsIt was really hot and there was no ventilator (it was a really hot day). Also the beer garden was right under our window, when sleeping with the windows open the sounds were annoying (untill around 11).
The soft bed and location. The kitchen! Very friendly staff. Good food at the beer garden.

Very charming, cozy and elegant. The kitchen was very nice and convinient. The best part was the dinner at the restaurant of the hotel (with gluten free options). don’t forget to book in advance because it is very popular. The village around is very beautiful with the castle and old wall. We brought a 1 year old baby with us and all went very smooth. we will repeat!! congratulations to the team.

GermanyNothing to add here, only a notice that you have to make a reservation in time for dining, the restaurant is very popular.
A beautiful experience! The hotel and restaurant are right next to the medieval castle. This historical part of La Petite Pierre is a quiet pedestrian area which directly brings you in the holiday mood. The hotel is very clean with superb decoration, has a kicker for kids and personal very friendly.

We found behind our door in the morning a bag full of fresh breads What else can you wish for?

AustriaWhat a fantastic little find. If you are hesitating just press book. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, they have renovated the whole place with obvious love and great care. The room was amazing, the bathroom fantastic, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean. Great little bar for snacks and drinks but closes at 10 out of respect and quiet for guests. The breakfast was lovely everything you could need. We will definately return and spend more than 1 night, the restaurant looked amazing and would really like to eat there next time and explore more of the area and the charming little village. The Gite is located in the pedestrianised zone but you can park while you unload your luggage and then plenty of free parking 2 minutes away in the village. Thank you for your great hospitality Estell and Frederic
