How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The WIFI connection is fast enough but is unfortunately unstable. If WIFI were stable it would be perfect. Only this aspect needs to be improved.

This is not a hotel for people looking for comfort, rather for tourists whose priority is Paris with all its richness. An old building that has been converted into a hotel can even cause frustration, but if you decide to enter and think about the price you paid, your mood will improve. A clean room, comfortable beds and a nice bathroom are definitely above the minimum. It's sad that the manager didn't accept my request to change the reservation, but I don't want my emotions to determine my rating.
Perfect location, both for walkers and tourists using public transport. Friendly staff. Price.

I forgot there was no elevator - not that bad but just forgot! The bar on the ground floor is quite noisy till bout 1 but it did not stop me from sleeping. Shower head was broken - had to hold it.
Value, location, cleanliness. The fridge in the room! Hot water was great!

The drain of water from the washbasin sink did not work in our room, and it could not be repaired during our stay
The staff was friendly, we were moved into a large room overlooking the courtyard, in a well-equipped bedroom with warm beds. Excellent price/quality ratio for Paris.

Quite noisy due to the bar on the ground floor, and really small rooms.
Friendly staff and a great location. Towels are changed every day, the room is clean, Wi-Fi working ok. On the last day, they took care of the luggage for free.

Mobile operator signal and and the wifi signal were poor in the room.
Very good location, close to metro and restaurants. Clean appartment. Silent (we were on 3. floor). Supportive staff - received all information needed from Isaac and the other guys.

I like everything but is good to know that place has no elevator.
We had a great stay at clermont. The hotel is a family bussiness and is managed by their owners. The best part is the neighborhood, full of art, bars, coffee shops and amazing bakerys. We were received by the owner who was really kind with us and always available for our questions. We had a great time!

The room is too small, it’s just space for the beds, so there is no spaces for anything else, you cannot walk or put the luggage

The room we used was at street level, it was the last available one. The soundproof glass window was great. Furniture are good but with a vintage look.
Property is amazingly located in a quiet street in between two very alive and beautiful area (Pigalle and Montmartre. Property was really clean.

Real lack of free space. As mentioned on many other reviews, stairs is dramatically narrow and twisted, wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone in age. Issues with WiFi coverage, not suitable for "working-from-home" nor videocalls. Ideal for night stand for two young and below L-sized persons.

Check-in was great and helpful. We didn't sleep as we didn't feel safe to park the car in the neighborhood. Could be a good idea to have someone being able to welcome late comers
