How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We were on the first floor which was not too good for us oldies. Should have requested ground floor or near elevator. Bar closed at 8.30pm which meant you couldn't relax with a nightcap before bed.
The staff were lovely and very helpful on the whole. The room was nice, clean and of a decent size. The breakfast choice was very good and well worth the extra money. We paid for the secure parking and this was worth it as it was just across the road from the hotel and we did not have to drive around looking for street parking.

Nothing, it was a lovely stay.
The room was lovely with a partial sea view and a small balcony (room no 1). The staff were very friendly, especially Alexis. He was so welcoming and helped us with our French (he does speak excellent English too). The hotel is walking distance to the beach and some nice restaurants. My husband is vegetarian and Alexis recommended a very lovely restaurant on the seafront that served a delicious vegetarian Dali.

The breakfast was a help yourself buffet which was not value for money.
Good location and the room was spacious and quiet. The young guy who welcomed us was extremely helpful and friendly.

The thing that really annoys us (probably with search engines rather than the hotel itself) is when you put a filter in for hotel parking and then you book the hotel expecting this but the first thing you receive is a message from the hotel that they have no parking, but there is lots close by 😡 as it was there was a problem but this isn’t the point!
To begin with the welcome we received from the man on reception was absolutely great. He was charming and helpful and really made us feel that he was glad we were there. He offered us his local knowledge for visits and eating places. The room was clean and quite basic (although he said we’d been upgraded) but good. The hotel is handy for everything at fouras. Breakfast was good

The location: no view, awkward parking. No possibility of evening meal. Noisy coach party. Cramped rooms with v little storage, though they are cosy and in a good state of repair

The room was too small, it was a standard room, but it was impossible to fully open the luggage. Hower it’s not so important :)
The location close to the beach and in town center, lovely building with free access to the little SPA and nice staff!

Steam room seat above outlet is very dangerous. No air-con.
Pool is a good temperature, Love the court yard. Like the new lift. Great electric window shutters. Plenty of free parking near the hotel.

Although very clean and nicely decorated with some facilities, room and shower room were very small and was at the top of 2 flights of stairs , not good at my age.
Location near beachfront and restaurants Lovely spa area and garden courtyard. Relaxed atmosphere Good continental breakfast.
