Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesRoom and bathroom fairly small, even for Europe, but we were out exploring, so the location made up for the size. They did upgrade us to a balcony view room, however, which was lovely and much appreciated!
Great location and delicious breakfast in the center of Rue Cler!

United StatesBed was a little uncomfortable and rough - not nearly a deterring factor from staying here though!
Location was fantastic, easily accessible to everything I had planned to achieve during this trip. Check in experience was great - we were allowed to check in early! Room was a tad small but could open window and bathroom was nice.

United StatesI should have chosen a larger room as we stayed 4 nights. Some hooks for hanging things in the bathroom would help. Finally, the man who checked us in did not seem at all interested in his job; all other staff were very friendly and helpful. We finally discovered the honor bar/coffee in the lobby the 3rd day . This should be pointed out at check in.
Perfect location, very clean, comfortable bed, & storage.

United StatesI don't want to be critical for the sake of it - nothing comes to mind.
The room was extremely clean. Location was fantastic - love the street its off of perfect and frankly much better than many more expensive hotels. Shower water pressure was fantastic. Elevator is small - so anyone with wheelchair - not the place for you - but otherwise it was fantastic. Room size was fine - its a little tight but as a tourist we basically used the room to sleep in - I didn't travel all the way to paris to lounge around a hotel room.

Very nice hotel on a beautiful street in Paris. Hotel is centrally located and easy to get to all major attractions in Paris. We had a family room for five which was two rooms connected through a private hall. Rooms were nice and clean.

The staff was great and so helpful. The breakfast was nice. Wish the rooms were a bit bigger for the queen bed, but for the triple room, it was much larger. We were happy with the family room setup overall and that triple room had a great view.

South AfricaThe rooms are very small but functional. I had most of what I needed for a pleasant stay. Would've been even better if there was a mini fridge but I spent most days eating out so it was fine.
The staff at Grand Leveque were the highlight of my stay. It was my first time in Paris and they were kind enough to help me with suggestions of places to go and directions, even which transport to take. They were available on whatsapp late at night when I needed help with train information. They were AMAZING! The rooms are clean and the location is a walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, The Arc, Carette Patisserie and other attractions. Overall, it was worth it.

Location was wonderful! Able to walk to many of the cherished sites! Authentic boutique hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful! It’s not your “high rise chain” experience! On a lovely street that traffic is restricted so overall quiet at night! Breakfast was unique and with good service. Linens very comfortable!

United StatesI expected rooms to be small in the middle of Paris and in this historic location. My husband and I found it a bit difficult. So kinda just a personal preference and what one can get used to.

IrelandUnfortunately there was a lot of banging coming from the room above us day and night for two days straight, like kids running up and back, very hard to sleep because of it, could have just been unlucky with noisy guests above us.
Beautifully situated on a lovely market street with cafes and restaurants, very safe day and night. Just a few minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. The gentleman that greeted us was so very welcoming and gave us an upgrade to a suite.

United StatesThere is not a single thing that we did not like about this property.
This property was perfectly located on Rue Cler. They were very accommodating when we arrived early to ensure they helped us get into a room early. The staff were very attentive and made sure our stay was amazing. We also loved that the windows that were facing the street were nearly sound proof when shut. You could not hear any of the restaurants or pedestrians when trying to get to sleep a bit early.
