The property was fantastic, set in beautiful surroundings close to the Camino. The hosts were fabulous and couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome, happy, fed and rested. The hosts are most helpful and showed great hospitality. This place felt like a home from home. I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of experiencing the Camino. Thank you for a great break fast in the morning and a wonderful bath of evening.

This place is peaceful and quiet- it looks just like the pictures! I loved the duvet and pillows- they were perfect for me. The breakfast is huge! It was more than I could eat, and Chef Christian made the best eggs I have ever had in my entire life. Much thanks to Genevieve for great conversation and multiple pots of tea she made for me to enjoy in my room on a cold rainy day. She also offered to give me a pair of her hiking shoes since there was unexpected snow on the mountain and I only had walking shoes. They are both unbelievably generous and kind. Christian also offered to pick me up at the train station, and gave me the number to call in case I had a disaster on Camino and needed him to come get me.

Once in a while you come across an absolute gem in your accommodation choice that will always provide lovely memories. Well Gure Lana s such a gem. Such a lovely welcome from Genevieve and Christian. Rooms are so very comfortable and sparkling clean with good quality bed linen.. Huge bathroom. Also lovely views from our room. Breakfast was amazing!! Delicious omelette, yogurt, fruit, fresh bread, pastries, juice and tea. A very sustaining breakfast for a difficult first day over the Pyrenees! Thank you Christian and Genevieve for the chats and great laughs!!

Chris and Genevieve were amazing hosts. Accommodations so comfortable. Chris was a godsend picking me up in Orisson , they helped me get acclimated as a pilgrim, helped with luggage transfer, got me a taxi , even did my laundry! I left early and Chris was up making me a lovely breakfast ! Amazing humans . 1000% recommend

Nothing - it was great!

This place is absolute perfection. We stayed here before starting our Camino. It is right outside of SJPDP, about a 5-10 minute walk to the Pilgrim's office. It was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast that Christian made us the next morning was DIVINE. The owners are friendly and full of information on the Camino. They made us feel so welcome and it was a great start to our trip. If I could give them 11 stars I would!

Nothing to dislike

We liked everything about this property! A huge thank you to our wonderful hosts, Genevieve and Christian and of course their beautiful dog! We have just finished an amazing stay prior to starting the Camino and did not want to leave! Their home is superb; comfortable, exceptionally clean and in a great location. Christian is an excellent cook and our breakfast was lovely. All that aside, it was everything else that they did for us that made this an exceptional stay. We had decided to walk the Valcarlos route, rather than over the Pyrenees. Christian, upon hearing this, drove us through the Pyrenees so that we did not miss it. Also as first time pilgrims, we were a little nervous as to how our cases were going to get from one village to the next. Christian rang the luggage company and confirmed all our details and put our minds at ease. It would also be remiss of me not to forget Genevieve’s wonderful conversation and her good sense of humour! All in all, our stay at Gure Lana set us up for hopefully what is a “buen Camino”!
