Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaThere was no minibar/fridge in the room for some reason.
A very nice hotel with its own unique style, the room and bathroom were fairly big. Nice buffet breakfast; also tea, coffee and snacks are available in the common area 24/7. Very nice staff. Right around the corner from the port and blvd. Canebiere.

FranceThe staff are very friendly, I arrived early but did not have to wait to check it was very efficient. The hotel is well situated for thé vieux port and metro and although the room was small it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I felt very safe as a woman alone.

AlbaniaThings that could be improved: The AC is not working or I couldn't figure out how to get it running; I didn't ask about it, but even when opening the windows, the noise from the street at night is loud. For the double bed, we had two single beds pushed together. Overall, it's okay but could be better.
A place I would definitely return to in Marseille. The staff is very friendly. Accessible location with public transportation and close to the Old port. Breakfast was very good even though I didn't have it included in my stay.

GreeceI stayed in 2 rooms . 1 of them was way too small, you just fit in ( second floor) The breakfast is really poor and needs so many things to be added . Definitely is not worth 12 euros for it.
Very friendly staff in the reception

Hong KongThe back alleys of the hotel could be a bit dodged at night, but it’s better in daytime. It’s better to take the main road if you’re coming from the train station.
The common area / breakfast room is quite nice with free drinks available all day. I didn’t try the breakfast here but come here for coffee and water after a long day, often there are other guests in the room. It’s nice to meet other guests (or chat with the staff) for a solo traveller :) My stay was wonderful thanks to Théo who was at the reception when I first came. He also gave some great recommendations for restaurants and we had some nice chats during my stay. His friendliness and smile were especially memorable :)

GermanyThe hotel itself is really nice: excellent location at walking distance from Marseille's greatest spots; friendly staff; clean accommodations. But what really made a difference was that they had free water, coffee, and hot chocolate all day long. It made our life much easier walking around the city. I can certainly recommend the hotel.

CanadaAs often happens, the shower leaks onto the bathroom floor making it alarmingly slippery - I’d sacrifice the bath mat and a towel to mop up the water and avoid an accident.
Great location just a few minutes from the Old Port, an easy walk from the train station and close to trams and metro. The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable, the heated towel rail was awesome and there was a kettle in the room.

AustraliaAlthough it is in a nice part of town it is in a slightly dirtier part of town The walls to the corridor are quiet thin so if people check in or out early or late it can wake you up sometimes
Decent breakfast for the price Room was nice and bathroom was very modern Front desk staff are lovely and helpful Location is close to the old town, port and grocery stores Although it’s on a main strip the room couldn’t hear much of the noise outside

RomaniaRoom a bit dark being at the back of the hotel, but we only came late in the evening so we went to sleep. It would be good to replace the towels as they are a bit worn.
Very well located hotel, you can reach the port in 5 minutes on foot. Very good breakfast, there are not many choices but there are quality products. In the breakfast room you can have tea, coffee whenever you want. In the evening there were also cakes or sweets. All for free. Comfortable and big bed. Although in the evening there were many suspicious people on the street where the hotel is, there were police and it was not dangerous at all. Because I had a flight in the evening, I appreciated the fact that I could leave my luggage stored and then I could sit comfortably on the sofa in the hall with a cup of tea from the house.

BulgariaThe fact that we didn’t get a room with a bathtub. It will be helpful if the description on booking specifies with additional info what room you book (with/or without bathtub) None of this is specified in the description.
