Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Luxury meets comfort. Amazing customer service. Polite staff with big smiles on their faces. Always ready to help. They gave me a room that I found a bit cramped. They then offered me a beautiful room, airy and spacious. Overlooking Avenue Montaigne, with side view of Eiffel Tower. They definitely exceeded my expectations! I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely come back here this time withy family. It is an experience worth having and paying for. What I loved: Design, vibe, comfortable bed, beautiful view of Eiffel Tower, breakfast, service, house keeper numerous times a day, 24 hr concierge, smell, luxury, being close to Eiffel Tower. Being on Avenue Montaigne. Loved it. Thank you.

Hong KongIt seemed that limousine service is now outsourced and a bit less up to standard. The lady chauffeur who picked us up at the airport was wearing very high heels (like 3-4 inches), which made us a bit uneasy, considering it can be dangerous driving in heels this high, especially with passengers in the car. Also, the chauffeur was coughing quite a bit without a mask, but told us we could either go for keeping the windows open or having air-con on, but not both... For hygienic purpose, we chose to keep the windows open, and it was 29 °C outside. That was not very pleasant.
We have stayed at Plaza Athenee quite a few times before. It has always been amazing. We are grateful that the hotel upgraded our room this time. We did notice the change of restaurant. We didn't manage to have any main meals at the hotel this time, but the afternoon tea was still as good and innovative as it had been.

Absolute Parisian perfection. This hotel is as stunning as it looks in photos and as iconic in person as I had imagined. We had an Eiffel Tower view room on Bastille Day- it was just magic watching the fireworks.
