How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Shuttle bus only operates after 5, which means you have to pay around 25 euros for a taxi. They could also do with more milk sachets in the room. There was only enough to make one drink, even though there were two of us.
Staff helpful. Sent a shuttle bus to collect us, after we alerted them by phone of our arrival. They ordered a morning taxi for us, as our flight was before the commencement of the shuttle service. €25 , which was expensive for the 5 min ride. Had a great breakfast prepared to take away with us as our flight was very early. Rooms are clean and comfortable. You can't hear planes from the room, even with window open. The reception desk man who was on the morning shift was more pleasant than the guy on the night shift. The sister hotel over the road does a delicious evening meal. Pleasant staff too. There is a shop and restaurant about 150 metre walk from the hotel which is handy. I would stay here again.

We had twin beds. One of the beds was missing a nightstand. The reading lamp was also missing from the wall and needs to be re installed.
It was very convenient from Marseilles airport. We arrived late and navigated to it easily in our car. The night clerk was waiting. There are two Holiday Inn's across the street from one another. The Express is on your LEFT. The breakfast was good, a little bit of everything.

Personally, we prefer separate duvet in the bed. French hotels do not. Only French speaking channels available on TV. I know, the French are a proud people.
Airport shuttle is excellent, available almost around the clock. Only 5 minutes, door-to-door. Breakfast included and selection is quite rich. Already from 6 AM, so you could also catch your early flight.

Tried to contact from courtesy bus point at Marseille Airport three or four times - message cut off, or no reply, Succeeded on last attempt, but unfinished conversation. Totally uncertain if they'd turn up. Also - very thirsty on arrival: 33 cl ordinary water in a can from vending machine - 3.5 euros. Also not exactly their fault, but exceedingly windy on night I stayed: top floor corner room was so noisy with gusty wind and also cold draughts, I couldn't sleep for 4 hours.
Relatively inexpensive; clean, simple, comfortable accommodation. Staff generally are very friendly.

Had to use Holiday Inn Hotel across the road for dinner which only had pizza on a Sunday night. Expensive drinks. Limited choice at breakfast; no eggs.
Free shittle bus to restaurant. Very friendly waiter in Holiday Inn Hotel restaurant across the road.

Had to go over the road for a meal. The meal was good but expensive.

Location is good as is close to airport. We tool a hike from airport to the hotel as we didn’t had many suitcases but the road is quite difficult so better use shuttle bus. Good breakfast and stuff friendly.

Some of the staff and shuttle drivers don’t understand English at all …I couldn’t find the intercoms in front of the terminal bcs of some renovation works …it needs to draw a map and provide pictures to notice it…
