The hotel was charming with a lovely outside garden area. The staff are very accommodating and we enjoyed an evening meal there. We would return again.

This is a hotel that feels traditionally French, but with a twist that is uniquely charming and full of personality. It's in a beautiful old building on the bank of the Vezere, with large landscaped gardens and an outdoor pool. We had a comfortable, spacious corner room with lots of sunlight and river views. We ate in the hotel restaurant every night, and the food was lovely - as were the breakfasts. Great staff, great atmosphere - we will definitely return.

This is a unique, privately owned, outstanding hotel, tucked away in a gorgeous location. The Owners' are so kind and lovely and the place itself is adorable! The restaurant, food and service are fabulous too. Lovely to have a pool in the garden, which is very clean and well kept. Everything was great.

Everything !!! Lovely peaceful location, by the river. Room was excellent in this lovely historic house. Food was fantastic, more 5 star City hotel than country retreat. Service wonderful. My car broke down and they even helped be start up again so we could continue our holiday. We will go back without hesitation

Beautiful peaceful hotel in a perfect location for Montignac. The hotel is so beautifully decorated and the pool is lovely, the receptionist / owner was so kind and informative. He highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are visiting for a wedding in a chateau nearby. Also the barman makes the best aperol spritz.

The charm was somewhat undermined by the automatic coffee machine and juice machine at breakfast. I think a buffet is fine, but coffee and juice service from a person rather than self-service from a machine would have been more in keeping with the ambiance and standards of this property elsewhere.

The perfect oasis and a classic French three star - the standards are so much higher than other countries at this level, and you receive the charm of an historic building, a dedicated small team and absolutely the opposite of the modern corporate hotel experience.

Quiet location has a lift great for those cases parking at front and back. Wonderful old characterful hotel Very helpful owners and staff, beautiful gardens and the bonus of a pool. Although there is a lift which we use to take our luggage up the first time, the beautiful staircase is long! There are 21 steps to each floor. We were on the second floor.

This hotel is just as you imagine a small independent French Hotel to be. It is beautiful and quaint and situated close to the river. The pool is excellent and the gardens are lovely. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The air con is an absolute bonus! The rooms (well, Jaquie, the one we have had the 2 times we have stayed) is typically French. Lots of knick knacks around. The en suite is big enough and there's a good shower over the bath. Breakfast is continental style. There are plenty of cafes, bars and ice cream parlours within easy walking distance of the hotel and ample parking.

Breakfast overpriced. Scrambled egg cold, bacon ran out and was replaced by small amount, half cooked. Far too fiddly a way of self serving.

Good location close to river. Exceptional large garden beautifully maintained and superb swimming pool. Interesting quirky building, very helpful man on reception. Good food served in garden. Good air conditioning.
