The staff are exceptional and did everything to make our stay the best it could be. We flew in early morning and they had a room available- not making us wait to get into our room like most places. Location is excellent. An easy walk to the beach and restaurants right next door.

The Hotel was well located, the rooms clean and comfy, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really delicious and healthy (many fruits, cheese, eggs...). The Hotel staff arranged for us many excursions with guide, so we could visit Monaco, Monte Carlo, Eze, Vences and many other places around Nice. We highly recommend it!

No English Breakfast tea bags in room. Breakfast area very noisy with staff banging plates, so the second morning l sat in other area. Not much of a view from window.

There were some issues with the facilities including a broken shower head and difficulty flushing the toilet. The Wi-Fi was also quite slow and could not stream videos on it.

The location was great, just off the main shopping street and very close to the tram stops, and the room was nice.

The breakfast room was very busy but a separate room was made available for 2nd and 3rd day, so no problem.

Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast offered great choice of food for all tastes. Hotel was located near major shopping area. Breakfast staff worked so hard.

Showerhead holder didn't work so you had to hold it whilst showering and the complimentary shower gel dispenser didn't work either so could get any out of the bottle. Small things though that had no real impact or effect on our stay. Walls are a little thin so you can hear people in their rooms but not enough to keep you awake.

The hotel is clean, functional, good value and in a great location in the new town. Breakfast was also included in the price and had a decent selection of hot and cold drinks, cold meats and cheeses, cereal, fruit, bread, pastries and bacon and eggs. Beds were comfortable. Staff were really friendly. If you are just looking for a good base to stay for a short break then this is a good option.

The housekeepers of the rooms didn’t pay attention to some details, they didn’t replenish the bathroom amenities daily Shampoo and bathroom soap and They forgot to put two towels for shower when I asked the housekeeper told me: the towels are in the washing machine I’ll bring you in five minute. After one hour and half I had to go to the reception to ask for my towel and the receptionist told me to ask directly in the cleaning room staff and surprise the housekeeper was getting ready to go home I reasked for my towel and at least I got it, but in the meantime I’m waiting for the elevator to go in my room o heard that the housekeepers were laughing at what had happened. This is truly unprofessional behavior and shows that the hotel management does not sufficiently monitor the work and behavior of the staff who arrange the rooms. Another point is that the hotel management should start thinking about doing some ordinary and extraordinary maintenance

This is our third time in this hotel, The position is wonderful because you can reach any place by foot or by public transport

We were on the top floor 64 steps to the 3rd floor with no lift. Thankfully my mum is fit and managed the stairs however note to self to mention this next time when booking with an older travel companion.

I travelled with my 70 year Mother. The hotel was traditional and just what I wanted for my first stay in the French Riviera. It had all mod cons in the room. The location of the hotel was just brilliant. A 5 minute walk from the Jean Medecin tram stop

Our third stay at the Boreal, a little disappointing this time. Discovered on arrival room safe not working, reported it to reception and again to various reception staff over the next few days. On leaving 5 days later nothing had changed, just seemed too easy and meaningless for reception to say sorry at checkout.

Nothing not to like.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Excellent English speakers, which was appreciated. The room was great for the price and there were two double beds, so our child had a massive bed, which was a treat for him. All clean. Good blackout curtains. Large wardrobe. We had breakfast there and the selection was great. All tasty and lots of choice. Buffet breakfast style. Not far to walk from the train station. Easy to find. Right next to main shopping street and trams but also very quiet. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel is in the center, location is very good. They aways try to find you free room available in case you arrived earlier than check in time. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the part of the hotel where was no elevator, but was our choice as we didn’t wanted to wait till 3 pm for check in. The room was clean, bed comfortable, for stay 5 days the room felt quite small, furnitures looked quite old l could say. Breakfast was okay, not so big choice, but manageable, even so the option every day same scrambled eggs and bacon could be varied a bit.

The bed was very narrow, although we ordered double bed. This one was not double at all. Maybe it is the standard, I am not sure. Very poor sound proofing, you can hear the doors slamming and water flushes from your neighbors. Breakfast was surprisingly limited.

The location is great. Staff was helpful and we got checked in earlier upon our request.

The breakfast set up was very strange with no sense of operational direction In majority of self-service breakfast serving hotels I have stayed in, if the food and coffee facilities are on the right and tables to the left then, logically speaking you would set up the plates and cups at the beginning of the line for food and drinks. Then move to the table, it was quite odd and confusing that the table was set to the point of having to go to your table to get the plate and cup to return back to the otherwise of the restaurant to fill up the plate and cups to just return back to the seating you had to go to in the first place... Time wasting exercise, as if you want a quicker breakfast time turn over it would be more efficient to have the flow moving right to left, plate and cup, food and drink load up and select a table to sit. Swing left excusing already sorted patrons to return past them to get a tray for the plate you got at the table to fill up and attempt to move past the patrons again....it disturbs and disrupts... If this was resolved I would say breakfast time would be a much faster and more enjoyable experience.

The location of the hotel, the staff were also very pleasant and helped out with local knowledge, places to visit, how to get there and where it was good to eat out.
