Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumSink or pipe system is stuck since it s making weird noises even in the middle of night ... it may wake you up since sink is sticked to bed (room is small). Commun shower and toilet are separate but there s no sink ... in toilets, find pity you might want wash your hands after going on public toilets. Our room with shared bathroom was on 2nd floor and there s no elevator, so keep in mind if you travel with heavy or big suitcases. Basic accomodation between hostel and hotel. You get what you pay for
Room is clean and big enough with small window, sink and a TV. We choose shared bathroom. We stayed 4 nights, at our arrival 2 pm reception was closed but thanks to machine we were able to check-in immediately with code. People at reception were nice and answer questions correctly. Wi-fi system it s strange but it s working good. Shower is big enough and water is on right temperature. Breakfast looked all right but we didn't try, there s a microwave you can use as we did at our arrival. Parking for your car is big and free of charge. If you don't have car bus station is in front of hotel. It is good for price you pay considering the expensive area too. Hotel was renovated and you can see it, i like decoration but that is personal.

GermanyVirtually unaccessible by bike or foot, we had to push our bikes roughly 200 m on a big main road to get to the hotel, did not feel very safe. A designated sidewalk would be nice.

United KingdomWe were given a room that was not ready, a workman was still replacing a window and then it would have needed to be cleaned. We had to push for another room and say we were not prepared to wait for it to be ready. Without using the top bunk to store our belongings it would have been too small a room for 3. The blind is attached to the inside of the window so you had to choose between having the window open for air or closed for darkness. Don't forget your own towels or eye masks for sleeping.
Price. Refurbished (shared) showers were good. It's suitable for a very brief overnight pit stop but not for anything else. To walk to somewhere to eat, there is a nearby sushi restaurant over the river bridge.

GermanyWe didn't have any soap into our room. The door didn't offer a proper noise insulation, we could here people in the corridor. However, it was pretty calm on new years day. But the WORST thing was the smoke smell in the room. Even the sheets and the pillow were smelling tobacco. It's a shame to smoke in a room, the staff can't be blamed for that but people do it.
Low price, beds were comfy, restrooms were quite clean.

FranceIt was hot and there werent any Air condition or Fan in the room. * At least there should be fans in the room. The lady (italian girl maybe) at the reception at night was horrible, there was a tall guy with her. Alcohol and shouting all the night... the girl with that guy was in a room sound of banging and moaning screams, abuses... then there was shouting on the terrace. All night long... Not acceptable! Apart from these 2 things the rest was ok.
It was clean. Location was good. Cheaper than most of the other hotels. The lady at the reception in the afternoon when we checked it was very nice and friendly. WC and showers were clean.

I chose this hotel for the value and was not expecting comfort. Price was the only reason to pick this hotel. I noticed there was a microwave and a bench outside to sit down

BelgiumAll.
I stayed with F1 a few times in other countries in the past. These were all right. But This one was perfectly awful. Just awful. You must send your inspector on-site. Only salvation was a night porter who prepared also breakfasts. He was trying to help but looked exhausted.

SwitzerlandThe receptionist needs to be replaced/fired! Served another customer before me (male), but when it was my turn (I'm a 6" tall female) I was sent to a check in machine outside, accused of not showing him enough respect, because I didn't smile, was shouted at, told I should just leave and also threatened with the police for not showing enough respect... I didn't know female customers are supposed to entertain the male receptionists?? Which police did this receptionist believe he could call for "disrespecting him", I do not know... Not to mention that i drove for 5 hours on that day and was already brain dead when I arrived. This is absolutely unacceptable! Mentally unstable / severely damaged people, who cannot equally respect female guests should not be allowed anywhere near the reception desk! I have never experienced such attitude even in the m*slem countries, this guy needs to go! Maybe somewhere where shouting at and threatening a woman with religious police is normal? I will not be staying at this hotel again for this only reason.
Basic room, but I knew what I was booking, so no problem with it whatsoever. The parking was available as described and free of charge. Half an hour walk to the city centre, was perfect for me.

NetherlandsSince it’s located on the road and many people comes and goes, you can hear those noises…
It is perfectly located for people passing by on a road trip. We stayed in a small room but with a private bathroom and they even put a cot for our daughter. The internet connection was great and the staff, even though they didn’t speak much English, they did their best and they were super friendly and helpful.
