Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAgain my review does not reflect the amenities of hotel Therese but their sister hotel Adele et Juliette the rooms were really nice but I wish they had a mini fridge in the rooms. Thats all.
I was not able to stay at hotel Therese bc of a gas issue but they were quickly able to relocate us to their sister hotel. I was very appreciative of how attentive the staff was and how quickly the issue was handled.

United StatesIt's a boutique hotel, so the room and elevator are small. We had to ask for fresh towels and water as they weren’t replaced with the cleaning service.
The location was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel's well designed, warm and welcoming, and it was very clean.

United KingdomNumerous power cuts throughout first afternoon of stay. Lift was very small could barely fit 2 people with bags and was very slow. Bathroom layout was not good in the room, it was impossible to comfortably sit on the toilet.
The staff kindly upgraded us because of our honeymoon. There was a selection of drinks and snacks available free of charge in reception between 4-6 which is a nice touch.

United KingdomMy only point here is that the room was quite small. It was ok for me but for a couple it would be hard to move.
Very courteous staff (late night front desk was incredibly helpful and courteous) The room was very clean and well decorated (albeit a bit small as often the case in Paris) Great breakfast buffet.

GreeceThe room was a bit small for four people but that is to be expected for a hotel in that area. Nothing other than that.
The location is in walking distance from the Louvre, downtown Paris. The Pyramides and Opera Garnie metro stations are nearby. Breakfast was very good. There was a problem with the water supply in our room and it was fixed the next day. The hotel manager reimbursed us one of the two nights. We also found a bottle of champagne a note apologising for the inconvenience. This is exceptional customer service.

United Statesthe housekeeping service could be better: did not clean the bathroom well, did not change the towels, left us without toilet paper ( I needed to go to the receptionist and ask for it).
the location is great and staff was excellent. The room is ok size, but the bathroom is tiny. It did not bother us much, since we were out mist of the days.

United StatesI did not like the weight of the blanket on the bed. I asked for a lighter blanket after I woke up from a deep sleep burning up from the the heavy bedding. After I asked for a lighter blanket I was instructed to make my room cooler, but it was did help. A lighter blanket would had helped me sleep through the night and saved the hotel on energy costs.
The breakfast was very good. Fresh baked goods, cheeses, fruit, yogurt. What I love to eat for breakfast. They served eggs and other items I did not eat.

United KingdomOur room was tiny and did not reflect any of the pictures on the site. We stayed here for two nights and there was barely room to move around the bed, even though it was a small double. The bathroom was extremely small and my husband could not fit in the shower! I'm pleased I visited in April when the weather was cool as there was no air-conditioning despite the website saying there was. There is no real bar as such, it's just the person behind the reception desk serving the drinks from a small area off reception. I was therefore surprised that at a certain time drinks are no longer available, even though there is a night porter sat behind the desk all night?
The location of the property was excellent for our trip to Paris. The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. Check-in was smooth and friendly.

Spent 6 nights at Hôtel Thérèse and had a wonderful stay. Room was small but very comfortable. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Amazing restaurants and everything I could want within walking distance. Easy to get to the Metro. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and secure. Highly recommend. I will return.
