The vending machine was out of service, there no place in the hall to sit at night, no elevator.

No aircon in the rooms and no fly screens. If you open the window for air flow, you get insects. Fortunately not too hot the night we were there, but on a hot day it might be unbearable.

Pretty much as expected for Ibis Budget: everything was OK: staff were fine, room was OK, the shower worked. No real problems but nothing outstanding. Breakfast was decent value for money.

In didn’t like that in the bathroom there was a small hole and while we were taking a shower, everything was becoming wet. However, this is not something to change my mind about the hotel.

I found Ibis budget an amazing hotel. The personnel were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was tasty and in typical french style.

The lighting in the room. You could have all the lights on or off. There was no way to isolate reading lights which was really inconvenient. We also found getting out of the hotel back to the motorway a challenge. It's definitely not easy if you're heading towards Brussels.

We normally use the Ibis Budget at Coquelles but the standards there have been deteriorating so much we decided to try Lille. The room was much nicer - especially the shower room. The receptionist was friendly and overall it was a much nicer experience.

Not sure what was happening but there was a lot of young men (20 plus) hanging around in the car park especially in the morning around 7am none of which seemed to be staying at the hotel ???

The walls were thin, I could here a conversation happening in the next room.

Security was good , car park was gated at night and then entry was by keycode, but in fairness the area did not strike me as a place where there would be any trouble. Good breakfast, fair choice.

I booked a 1 night stay whilst travelling through Europe. I parked my car near the entrance to the hotel and during the evening it was broken into. The window was smashed and my suitcase stolen. The owner or manager taped my window up and as I had time constraints we did not call the police. I understand they cannot claim on insurance but they offered a refund for my nights stay. This has never arrived despite numerous requests to booking and Ibis. I advise you never to book this hotel it is not safe or secure

Rooms were not as shown in the images online. This was extremely disappointing. The rooms were similar to prison cells. Small, cramped, dated and rather ugly. Bathroom was green, plastic and extremely cramped. We were very disappointed with the property as it was nothing like pictured in the photos online and it cost us £250 to stay here for one night.
